Hm looks interesting. It's sort of like Miis, but with waaaay more stuff to do and customize. Still, I like the style of Miis. While the environments are simply amazing in this, the characters who populate them look bland. Plus I can't help but think that the various casual games available to play like bowling and pool will be signifigantly less worthwhile on a regular controller. After playing Wii Bowling it'll be hard to go back to just pushing a button to throw the ball

Even the most ardent anti-Sony fan has to admit Little Big Planet looks fucking HAWT, though...

Still, like I've said many times before, Sony HAS to drop the price to appeal to the casual gamer.

Sony fans must be fucking a desperate if they are getting excited over an Animal Crossing/PSO/Second Life ripoff.

Looks really ambitious.  I think I would have a lot of faith in it if it was something that was done when the console launched but my guess is it won't get to be like anything they are promising until the ps4.

It looks like Animal Crossing to an extent, but at the same time it's more like creating a virtual avatar to run around and access all the PS content.

This makes me very interested to see Animal Crossing Wii. I doubt Nintendo gives a shit about offering all these features though. As long as it creates an actual virtual world it could be cool - even with friends codes I guess. But sooner or later people will be tired of just being able to fish and cut trees.

I watched the trailer.

Home looks nice. I looks like Animal Crossing without the gay and an interesting way to connect with others on the PSN. I'm impressed, but how well Sony can implement such a feature, I don't know about that. They've always made these promises on online content and failed almost every time. Hopefully they get it right.

The thing is, it's basically the same thing as what the competition uses, except you can travel around with your own avatar. Seems neat, but at the same time, do I really want to travel all over the place when I want to dl a movie?

The Miis are childish and awful. Gimme generic models over the Fisher-Price kiddy crapola.

That said, Wii Bowling doesn't use the pointing feature of the wagglemote, so the Sixaxis can replicate it dead on.

That being said Merc 2 and Forza 2 look sorta meh.

actually the problem isn't with navigating its with organization and its not as bad as it was when the 360 launched, which I remember being a mess of folders, subfolders, and lists.  they could do things like stream line it, like say you want to find a movie for a game.  first all you have to go to games, when which generates a list, find the game, which then generates a list of options like cheats, demo, movies ect, then you hit movies, gives you a list of movies at definitions.  To stream line it they remove all the folders, so you want a game movie once you get to the game you want all you'd have to do is place your cursier this would create a tree list of options for the game, move the cursier onto the option you want (movies), makes a tree list of movies of to the side, select the move you want. also things like having a list of of new stuff right off to the side of the main market place instead of in a new content folder.

like I said its not so bad now, where at launch things were in the wrong folders, and way better than what nintendos doing but its still not great.

oh. i just recently got my 360, so I don't know how it used to be, but I think it's pretty easy to use right now.

i would NOT want to have to walk my avatar somewhere to play a game, or watch a movie, or go to the marketplace, or anything that I could use a menu to do.

I dunno the whole avatar thing sounds like a glorified chat service rather than any sort of videogame implementation.

I mean with 360 I can already chat with people who arent even playing the same game as I am. Is an avatar and stupid living quarters really required? The whole thing just plays on peoples inability to deal with reality.

Playstation Home = Habbo Hotel for Sonytards. Color me disinterested.

LittleBigPlanet = Beautiful collaborative 2D platformer from the folks who made Ragdoll Kung Fu, and now they have a real art director and budget. It looks like a Pixar demo.

PlayStation Home is something that I think socially dysfunctional gamers have been having wet dreams about for years, but Xbox Live is so much more practical.  Again, why would I want to spend minutes walking around to find a digital theatre when I can already be downloading movies in nearly half the time on Xbox Live.  So I can simulate the life I don't have, but really want on account that I'm a total loser?  No, thanks!

The more I think of it, I like the idea but..I just don't know.

Although it's an over glorified Habbo Hotel, I gotta admit it's kinda cool, but is it really necessary? On XBL you can chat with someone while playing a game or not. It really screams "desperate" in my eyes.

Why is it necessary to compete with this? XBL basically has all of those features, except you don't have to walk a virtual avatar all over the place. Personally, I'd rather keep it in menus.

Imagine if you would, spending 600 dollars on a console, and then having entire months of people laughing at you and almost nothing to play. Now imagine actually getting a game of average quality.

You'd flip out like a fanboy too and embrace it and declare it your god cause the whole situation is ACTUALLY that sad.
