Because I am suffocated in a white guilt shithole every day, I don't need it online.

Tipper: WHAT ABOUT OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT?Al: That's okay Tipper, I bought a tree... or something... set the AC to 62 degrees.
Gore is a hypocrite because he's not living in a cave somewhere, just like he advocates for everyone else. I mean, after all, Gore has advocated everyone stop using electricity entirely, right? Right? I'm sure someone can provide a link describing how he advocates dropping everyone sitting around with the lights off to stop global warming.Christ, you dumbasses. He's advocating a carbon tax, and himself is coughing up the cash to make his personal usage of power and jets carbon neutral. In other words, he's being about as consistent as possible with what he's advocating. It's amazing how much the conservative/libertarian/industry straw man has been internalized by the speakers:* Gore wants to stop global warming.* Gore wants to do this with carbon taxes.* Ignore the last part and assign him the straw man position of "everyone cut way back on consumption," because you personally are too lazy to research the actual proposed changes.* Call him a hypocrite for not personally living out your straw man.
There's a difference between lying and not presenting contrary spin.
Why does he "run an ISP in there" or whatever you were getting at (Drinky)?

As his business gets more successful, of course he's going to use more kWh.

No one has the right to quesiton al gore's global warming motivations unless they two create a film that wins 2 oscars.
no, it's to run an internet business which requires more computing, real estate, and CC resources than that needed by, say, a whiny free market libertarian and his linux desktop
it's offset by the amount of ayn rand and robert heinlein novels they consume/jerk off into and the trees that are murdered to print them
plus they kill gays, blacks, and jews which helps with overpopulation
Quote from: Phoenix Dark on February 27, 2007, 03:31:15 PM Laughing is your response? Al Gore advocates reducing your carbon footing. That is his KEY activist message. Of which he does. How is he a hypocrite in any way?
That's been a long standing GAF tradition, to shit on women that 90% of them would have absolutely no chance on them. They'd be lucky if that mutant fattie from The Hills Have Eyes gave them its number.
No. That would just create little communities of Hive defenders that are more or less closed off from "outsiders" due to deep suspicion within the community that "outsiders" might be spies or saboteurs from the other Hives. See: IGN boards. I think part of NeoGAF working as well as it does can be attributed to the one board system. There's a level of forced acceptance here that takes the edge off of things, and that's good. The fluid interpretation of rules on this board (as opposed to the strict TOS adherence that is used for other board systems) also weighs into this.
Wait, why does Gore host all that shit himself? I work at a major internet/publishing corp and our servers are all offsite, even our dev instances.
