Are you knowledgeable in PS? Because teaching you to use pen tool can be quite tricky, but it can be done.

It's harder to do in ps because it's not a vector program, but if you can kick ass at vector in ps, you can kick ass anywhere, because it's so goddamn limited compared to say, a REAL vector program such as Illustrator.

I have Illustrator CS3. The only CS3 program I lack is Fireworks (the ImageReady/web shit replacement), because it's not out of beta yet.

TVC, do you have graphic design or illustration experience? Because this tut is very advanced. You may wanna start on ps. It's much simpler if you just wanna make a bunch of comics of himu good ol' dick nose.

I know my way around PS pretty well. The big hurdle here is that, well, I'm not used to CS3 yet and they finally changed up the interface.
