I'm actually enjoying 3 more than 2.  It has its own problems (favorite characters like Weevil and Mac and Black Guy don't show up so much.  Unfortunately Logan does and they break up and get back together like every other episode), but it so far hasn't done anything as bad as the worst of season 2.  I like it.  Kirsten Bell is charming as all hell.  I wouldn't mind if it continues in this more episodic format.

I dunno.  That may be pushing it.  Veronica is a great character, but I'm not sure if she alone could carry a show, and doing the fast forward would pretty much require ditching most or all of the current cast.  Even though every character doesn't currently appear in each episode, we still get good doses of quirky side characters we have known for 2 seasons all the time. 

If they do the FBI thing, I hope they change the title, because the whole formula/flavor of the show will have to change.  It will have to go from a quirky detective show to something that at least pretends to be a law enforcement procedural.  It could work, but they should at least recognize this is a new act in the Veronica Mars story.

Also I want to see Keith Mars, butt naked, with his ass cheeks spread wide in the season finale.

What do you think of season 3?  I am on the last episode aired, and I like it much more than season 2.  It is much more consistent, and I like the mini-arc format.  It's not perfect, and there have been some bad moments, but I like the season.  it's at least not repeating the same mistakes as season 2.

S1 for me is just television greatness. Its still a very good show, but its lacking that intimacy, and that undescribable "thing", or intangible, that it used to have. Basically it was an absolutely brilliant show that has slunk down to become merely a very good one.

Kristen Bell still rocks it though, as does Dohring. But they've made Logan/V drama the center of the show WAY TOO MUCH. Personally, I hate schmoopy, pussy whipped Logan. Him and V work best when they are not together, and sniping at eachother, and you can still feel the sexual tension.

I think at this point they should just drop the Veronica/Logan tension.  Hell, drop Logan altogether.  Sure, season 1 may have popped from the tension between the two, but without the character-based deep-seated mystery of season 1, the tension is just predictible. They will always be together, burn too bright, break up, and get back together again.  It's SO BAD in season 3 that I am guessing Logan was only brought back to string along the Gilmore crowd.  Logan has added NOTHING to season 3.  He really only had major screen time in one episode.

Heck, look at season 2.  Mining the Veronica/Logan thang was a major drain on that, too.

Drop Logan and you have a great show.  Keep the other characters that have been around since season one.  Just get rid of Logan.

Veronica just feels right as a single character.  When she goes into the emo over Logan mode, it just feels like I don't understand her as well as I thought I did.  She's such a nicely defined character that I feel confused about her when she gets mopey over a stupid rich kid.  Logan has never shown himself to be something to get worked up over.  We know Veronica is a smart gal.  It doesn't make sense.

Exactly! At least Bell herself sees this. Every time she is interviewed she basically says that Veronica is an idiot for staying with Logan. For such a strong, independent character, her being Logan's bitch is completely off the map for that character.
