I've been thinking about it, and it's the only thing that makes sense. It explains everything: the lack of photo evidence, the horrible taste in movies, the uninformed posts about video games, the personality that changes at the drop of a dime...

Whoever is behind the Phoenix Dark "persona" - kudos, dude. You had me fooled for a long while.

The first clue is how the personality has changed so much over time - from a sex-starved teenager to a wannabe political theorist to a creationist-believing nutjob to film "critic." If one looks at his posts over a length of time one can see that it's someone honing the joke character into someone halfway believable. He started out really over-the-top and gradually toned his act down so he wouldn't get permabanned from GAF.

You don't think he started out as a joke character? Do you remember all those "desperate virgin" posts on GAF? They were bizarre, but he's since abandoned that angle. His post history reads like a joke character to me. I don't think it's Cheebs, though.

How do you explain all the other bizarre aspects of your backstory? The creationist stuff, being home-schooled, having your dad be a dentist (a DENTIST!!!), regurgitating half-remembered talking points from CNN Crossfire during political debates, having awful awful taste in movies befitting a 12 year old boy (or Dark Shake)...it's all too much. The evidence overwhelmingly points towards you being a joke character, albeit a very well-crafted one.

The thing is that none of that stuff contradicts anything I've said. Most joke characters wind up messing up, or being caught in a lie; see G. To date I haven't been caught. Now, when I was Aries I made a couple clear mistakes (calling Square Enix "Square Soft" for instance) but very few called them out.

If you continue making joke posts which don't offer anything to the discussion, pretty soon the mods will catch on and ban your ass. Therefore you have to have depth. If you're into politics, start talking about it. The main reason I didn't talk much politics on GAF was because I was already posting on political forum. Well I exiled myself from that cyst hole.

If you're into sports, talk about that. Basically make it obvious you're into more than just videogames and joke posts. I can honestly say people like TVC/Wellington/etc know that I'm not just a videogame troll. That's important because it gives you the benefit of the doubt.

I am indeed a political junkie. I really gave up politics awhile ago due to the partisan bullshit, but I'm becomming hooked again. These primaries are going to be very fun. I can't wait to see who seperates himself from the pack in the Republican primary.

I'm not really a fan critic in real life. It's something I do to make people upset here. Overall my taste is quite good, and I've over exaggerated my "hatred" of stuff like 2001 and Blade Runner. I'm not stupid.

I turned in my Nintendo coat when the it became clear what the Wii was. I think it was shortly after the name was announced - at that point I was like meh, I'm done. Now I don't check Matt's IGN stuff hourly. I 'm not even excited about stuff like SSBB, and I still haven't played Zelda.

I have social skills, but I'm shy. So yeah that's me. When we meet I doubt you'll say "damn Phoenix doesn't know how to converse with people"

I'm indeed sarcastic, and I have a very dark humor. And yea I hang with vampire girl meh

Overall I'm a shy, quiet guy. When I get into discussions I show various sides of these things
