Yeah, I think its kinda silly for white kids to be all enthusiastic and gung-ho about it... But my best friend is gonna be out of town that day, that girl Theresa I've mentioned a few times has been fluttery again this week, and so I figure what the hell. It's about time my friends at work decide to do something in Suffolk for once near me instead of me driving all the way out there all the time, or having to take the 80 minute train ride into the city, and I figure if I meet someone at the bar, there's a good chance she'll be from the area instead of being from Jersey or something, which usually happens when I'm out in the city.
I didn't even notice Cinco De Mayo was that popular till about last year when I drove past my favorite Mexican restaurant near work and noticed 50 cars lined up down the side of the street near it... when normally the place has maybe 3 or 4 different groups of people in it during lunch time. I think that is cool though because I am friends with the owner and want to see them doing well.
