But I think it does. How are we to contribute to difficult times when we don't have a powerful military? I think in a historical sense yes there is a lot to be said on our actions but if another large scale war was to happen, we'd be effectively useless and thats where i loss my sense of pride. I guess I have pride historically but not with our current military as a world force, but i do as peace keepers.
Going back to what i said before, military pride to me is power and knowledge. We have the knowledge but not the power. And there is a lot to be said about power, though I consider it less than knowledge. But power gives us a much stronger position on the world scale. take for example the Iraq war, we were against it. If we had a powerful military such as the British, our lack of involvement in the situation would have been a far more powerful statement on the war than it did.
