I don't like console gaming but I do see a lot of talk and numbers about it during the usual read of my daily gaming news. Sort of seems like the PS3 is squeezed between a Japanese market that doesn't care for the machine and a US market that's already shown that core gamers go crazy for buying games on the 360.
I don't see where the PS3 really goes from here. The machine's price point is hurting, but I think its issues are a bit more deeper than that, namely that the machine doesn't have any familiar or very interesting software yet, and those games are still mostly over a year off. I think even at the high cost people would buy the machine if it had cool games to play or if cool games were on the horizon.
I think Sony's pretty boned. It's sad, because I'd far rather see the Wii get curb stomped to irrelevance instead.
