PD is talking about 1950's nonsense with objects and belts.Yeah if you cant get your point across with just an open hand you dont deserve to spank. Honestly tho nothing was worse than bar of soap or timeout in the corner. My mom never used a bar of soap, although one time I did it to myself just to see what the fuss was about. It was a walk in the park compared to the glue stickQuote from: CheebsWhen a weapon is brought into disciplining a kid, it has gone too far.Since when is a belt a weapon? Or a glue stick? I realize they'll be used by our troops after the democrats unfund our troops, but on the home front there's nothing wrong with that.Stop misinterpreting me on purpose. If you need me to be completely literal so your Rowlingfied mind could understand: If a foreign object comes into play while physically disciplining a child, things have gone too far.

Preferably children should be aborted. If that's not possible, I have no problem with physical discipline, just not with foreign objects. And really, what does adding a belt or a glue stick add to discipline?

she makes books for kids, yet a large number of adults (and manchildren) consume them avidly, to the exclusion of other literature. that's not an excuse; that's just a grossly depressing observation on american literary standards!"god i hated catcher in the rye but OMG WASN'T HARRY POTTER AND THE SHRIMPING OF THE CANUCK AWESOME!!!!!!"

I got to see Alien/Terminator at a young age, despite not being allowed to watch Simpsons/Fresh Prince/etc. Very strangeThey never said don't read HP btw, it was more of a dumbass idea based on what I had heardFresh Prince? Fresh Prince was TAME.I bet they said you could never watch Full House as well. Uncle Jesse slept with lots of different women in it. And...you saw them...in their PAJAMA'S.
