Yeah, I stumbled over some Kanyon info looking for a good picture.  I was way more surprised at him being openly gay than I was at him having attempted suicide.  Didn't see him on my gaydar.  Cena, Orton, or really any of Vince's oiled-up playthings, sure, but Kanyon?

I don't watch wrestling.  Well, I did as a kid.  Just following this story out of some morbid curiosity.  That, and having too much free time on my hands.

I was a wrestling fan from 83-88 and then again from 1995-2000. I really have too much knowledge of the sport, kind of killed my enjoyment for it. It makes me laugh when I see guys who still play video games, read comics or collect action figures make fun of guys who watch pro wrestling. It's all the same thing, all of us are holding onto something we enjoyed as children so we can still feel young in some ways.

But, I really don't understand people that still follow it during the lean years. Pro wrestling is unwatchable when it's bad. They must be sado-masochists or they are such creatures of habit that they can't break away.

The only sad wrestling fans are people like Outcast2004 ... who actually deify these people and pretend like they "know" them. Scary individual right there.

It's funny, I read threads all the time where people make fun of people that die in unfortunate circumstances or murderers that get their just due. Just because a guy was good at his job and entertained millions doesn't make him any better.

Kind of falls in line with what I said last night in the GAF thread an hour after it happened.  She probably threatened to leave him (and take the kid). He snaps and kills her. Then spends the night thinking about what he did and decides he's going to kill himself then spend his life in jail. Then he thinks about how this will effect his son and decides his son is better off dead also.

He had enough time, I wonder if he left a suicide note/video?

Basically I started watching wrestling back when I was 6 (when hogan and macho man were a tag team). And since then I just liked it, I dont think I ever really believed it was "real" because I remember when Connie Chung "broke" the news in 1990 that it wasn't, I wasnt like OMGWTF!!.

Now since im 25 now I dont watch it as much as I used to, infact the early 90s I didnt watch much... but when razor ramon, diesel etc were new I got back into it. Then the whole "Monday Night Wars" started and it was like a crack laced soap opera for men for years (what will wcw do? what will happen on wwf this week!?).

Yeah it sounds stupid but thats how I view wrestling, its a male soap opera. And to me its no different suspending disbelief when I watch it, than when people think that keifer sutherland is living the most exciting week known to man killing terrorists (note I dont watch 24, so im sorry if I got that wrong).

Now I'm not saying ITS STILL REAL TO ME, its just I treat it like a show or a movie. I dont watch LOTR and go LOL viggo is hitting them with a rubber sword lol, I try and enjoy it for what it is, and unfortunately lately all wrestling is, is SHIT.

 Chris Benoit killed his son and wife, and this dude is getting attention as in a celebration hahaha, you silly people.

Note: I'm not talking about y'all, just watching various news channels and people is really giving this dude respect.

I love chris, because i love everyone, but the choice he made was a wrong one and by that, i will not " show any love or support for him ".
My only concern is for his wife and son, RIP.
