Good God. Coming from someone who has been a fan of Hendo since people were deriding him as Decision Dan, it'll never, ever, EVER EVER EVER EVER happen WTF PEOPLE. Might as well give Rashad his shot now that he's been screwed over twice.

The only way I see Jones losing at LHW is by getting TKOed on the feet, and I don't see anyone being able to take it that far before they're on their back getting worked

People are complaining he's sanctimonious, two-faced, arrogant, blah blah blah. He does sometimes come off as a goody-goody but there are much more detestable personalities in the sport.

My favorite whine thread from Sherdog went something like, "If Jon Jones were really such a great guy, he would have lowered Machida gently to the canvas instead of just dropping him."

But I guess the fanboy backlash is to be expected. In a single year he has walked through some of the most popular fighters in the division.

Not good ground but he's got a sick guillotine. He's undoubtedly the better striker but the question is can he defend Lesnar's takedown long enough to stand with him?

Overeem has looked basically helpless against fighters with equatable or worse top control than Lesnar in the past, though that was always at LHW. I think Werdum (obviously not a fair comparison to Lesnar) briefly had him on his back and he managed to get up with relative ease.

Heart says Lesnar eats an Uberknee shooting for a takedown and wakes up in the hospital a week later, head says we see a Lesnar/Mir 2 repeat

Of course it was serious. You could see his heart wasn't in it and he said if he'd won he would have retired after the title fight anyway. All the best to him, his run was short and it's crazy that a guy could do what he did so late in his career.

I wasn't expecting Brock to retire. Pretty disappointing. This division doesn't have very many top-tier fighters to spare. I'm actually looking forward to the return of Werdum now lol.

At the time when he won the title people were thinking he was a monster because of his weight and speed and athleticism. A lot better and more balanced breed of heavyweight stars was coming on the scene and have exposed his weaknesses.

It was a bad way to end the fight. The ref should have hopped in there quicker if he was hitting the back of the head enough to be DQ'ed but honestly that sort of thing always happens in that situation. Guys often hit the back of the head as they just start throwing flurries. But yeah it was a bad and confusing result.

As far as what Rogan said some people might say its unprofessional to toss refs under the boss like that but I don't really have a problem with it. People were going to have the discussion anyway. Might as well start it.

That's my problem is that sometimes regular people's information is released when they pull this shit not to mention I'm not a fan of the idea that you should get punished by leaking personal information just because you say something stupid or somebody doesn't agree with you. Bisping has no heat with Anderson, and also has no chance of beating him.

Yeah, pretty mehtastic event. Watched it at a bar, so didn't have any sound to hear Sonnen's chirping. Seemed like there was a lot of talk between Sonnen and Bisping during the fight.

Also, wtf was up with Phil Davis throwing kicks? Every time Davis threw a kick, Rashad caught it and took him down. And yet, even by the fifth round, Davis was still throwing kicks and getting taken down from them. Way to adjust on the fly, Phil.

What struck me was how relatively poorly Bisping fought and he still had a chance. If he had just actually tightened up his technique and stopped all those obvious spinning kicks.

Bisping's problem is his overconfidence. He keeps thinking he's smarter than the other guy, and he's clearly not. Once the surprise attack has failed twice, probably best to put that aside for a bit. Hey, I'm not sure it's so outrageous, because apparently a sizeable portion of the internet also thinks he won the fight, so.....
