Overall highlights:

-Legendary crafting mats for plans got their drop rates HELLA BUFFED . I can confirm this one myself, as I got 5 mats in 16 T2 runs for the Ashaera's set. Currently rocking boots and shoulders on my wizard.
-In addition, the absurd gem requirements for crafting set items are gone- now you just need a marquise gem. THANK YOU BASED BLIZZARD. Crafting sets are now way feasible.
-Overall, crusaders got HELLA BUFFED, but one skill got minorly nerfed. Guess what people are choosing to focus on?
-Wizards got nerfed- electrocute and frozen orb getting dinged. Still OP and the best class, because wizard. Duh.

Finally hit 70 with my Crusader the other day and I'm inching closer to that 8-digit toughness Stacking All-Resist really is the way to go. Currently at 5m and after spending all that time leveling my toon I forgot how fucking good the endgame in this is. Easy contender for my GOTY, sorry Dark Souls 2 :'(

Ever since getting a new video card, this game is starting to crash on me and I have to hit the reset button on the computer. It always happens about 30 seconds into an adventure. Or I can play for 3 hours straight with no problems.  It's making me mad. I can play any other game just fine at their highest settings. I never had a problem with my old card.

Pro-tip- create a barb or crusader, get into New Tristram. Set the Blacksmith to "have materials for," craft shit for your templar. Well, weapon, shield and relic anyway, it won't really help for rings/amulet. But you can craft that stuff, stash it, then start over again with your main.

Templar's life regen + spirit regen are both really great to have in Torment. I stay alive more easily and get to use my spenders faster.

ok I'm confused. I got this legendary sword and didn't pay much attention since it reduced my DPS 50%.

But I wanted to try it since it's 1 handed so I can use a different skill. I've been seeing crit damage in the 1 to 9 million range before this sword. Now I'm seeing 40 to 64 Million crit and I don't know why.

Yes I know I have an empty slot. I just changed to those pants before I quit out.

The secondary affix "Slain enemies rest in pieces" is your giveaway. It's not something that is going to show up on your sheet dps or anything, but it vastly multiplies the amount of crit dmg you can do. Treesong had one on his lv. 70 Monk for a while and was getting crits in the hundreds of millions if not billions.

It also pairs well with Exploding Palm. Even though it's "fake" damage, it still counts as a crit, so it makes the Exploding Palm damage into a guaranteed crit as well.

My sheet DPS on my wizard is over a million, but my DH does far more damage because I have increased fire skill damage on 2 additional slots (total of 4 instead of 2)

Also, hate to break it to you guys, but life steal is 0% at lv 70

My pets do 76% xtra dmg thanks to my mask. So im sure im rocking a bit better then average.

Am I right in thinking that I can't do higher than hard difficulty in adventure mode because I haven't beat the main game higher than on hard? I'm running through Act 1 on expert and some of the mobs are cray. I died 3 times last night. Fucking wallers.

You unlock Master once you beat the game and you unlock Torment once you hit 60 with a character so you should have all the difficulties unlocked.  If you're asking why you can't do higher than Hard, then the answer is pretty much always, "You need better gear."  After a quick glance at your character, I feel like an easy way to raise your dps is to get more crit chance.  You're missing it on your amulet, both rings, and your shield.

In general, you also should prioritize All resist and Armor over Vitality and life %. Vit and life % will inflate your paper toughness but for actually staying alive in the game, the other two are way more valuable.

Obviously, my paragon levels are giving me a big leg up on you, but if you look at my gear and skills you can get a good idea of what to shoot for. Side note: you get a bunch of armor just from stacking strength, and it gets to a point where you WILL get diminishing returns, so after a while vit/life % will be preferable to armor.

is there any word on whether Blizzard is going to refine the way that paper DPS and Toughness are calculated? Those numbers in your inventory are especially useless/annoying when you have to open up the advanced stats panel to actually understand what your toon is doing.

Yes. They're said they're going to look at how toughness is calculated in an upcoming patch (possibly the next one)

I don't think they'll do anything for dps, though. The issue with that is that your effective dps hinges on skill and elemental type bonuses so much that it would be tough to calculate it reliably. Fucking around and seeing how much damage you do is still the best way to gauge it unless you want spreadsheets. (I can get you spreadsheets, but you have to use excel, because fuck you if you don't use excel)

I am trying to get the two minute warning achivement on Torment 1 at level 70 with a solo monk. I feel that it is possible, my best time so far is under 3 minutes from start to kill. Just need some slightly better gear and some pylon luck.

Game is great, but you really do have to approach it as "I am going to play this game while listening to this album I love to relax after work took a steaming dump on me today" or "I am going to play this game while hamming it up on Skype with some friends" and not "I am going to play this game just to get better gear" . The latter will burn you out faster than a mandated CFL bulb in Obama's America.

Yes, it is a great music-listening game. At the height of my WoW habit that game was the same way, so when I settled into that rhythm with D3 I was pleased to find Blizzard is still good at crafting that kind of laid-back experience.

Yeah, I can't play ARPGs without something going on in the background. I've watched Alkaizer stream a bit (the guy that got to Paragon 100 first when that was the cap) and I have no idea how he hasn't blown his brains out yet. Stream chat isn't that compelling and he plays like a robot.

Crusader feels insanely OP after this patch. They finally upgraded the damage mitigation to 30%, equal to what barbs and monks were getting. In addition, they just outright removed the move speed penalty for the 2 hander + shield passive. Of course, finding the best weapon in the game for Crusaders probably helps:

Not sure what's going on with this dumb page, but my actual dps is around 850k and my toughness is over 14 million. I got the Aughild plans to drop, I reaaaaaaally need to get a Ring of Royal Grandeur for my crusader now. That's potentially 3 sets I could be wearing.
