No More Heroes DS has classic con compatibility. I wonder what the point of this is though, game bombed hard in japan.
I'm curious how they will bring over the waggle. Maybe they just turned it into a button masher now. It's a pretty short game too.

Is the PS3/360 port going to be their excuse when NMH2 sells like crap?
Biohazard 5 Alternative Edition (PS3)
-February 18, 4980 yen.
-DLC will be 500 yen each per episode, two episodes total.
-Two costume packs for 200 yen each.
booo
This is the first and hopefully last time I'll ever say this:
Suda51 can go fuck himself
Suda is my hero and I love NMH and am there day one for NMH2, but why the fuck would I want the same exact game I played over a year ago on more powerful hardware yet it looks generally the same? Even if it looked a whole lot better...WHY. Seriously if you are just going to port a 2 year old game then don't even fucking bother. It's a waste of time that could have gone towards making something ORIGINAL on PS3/X360. Hell they could've at least ported NMH2 and then I wouldn't buy the Wii version and there'd be some point.
PS3/X360 finally get a Suda game and there's absolutely 0 reasons to play it. What a sad fucking day this is. :maf :maf :maf
You have been banned for the following reason:
port begging = instaban. ps Sin and Punishment is a NINTENDO IP.
Date the ban will be lifted: 12-17-2009, 11:00 PM
:rock :rock :rock
When I can expect to play Suda 51 goodness on my ps3? :rock
I guess I will still be buying a wii for Mario Galaxy and Sin and Punishment 2 :(
Actually, I don't want to buy one. Wii sucks. I should just borrow one and rent the games.
I'll rebuy it. To be honest I thought the waggle kinda saved the original NMH's combat from being completely terrible. I guess they'll be replacing the suplexes and stuff with analog stick movement, but it won't be the same. And this is coming from someone who can't stand motion control.
On a side note I bet the Mushihime reviews whine about the difficulty.
OH fuck. I forgot about that! How is wii emulation these days? Would you have to buy a wiimote and all that jazz? How would your computer recognize it?
famitsu has never given a cave game above a 30. It's normal. They don't give shmups good scores unless they are by Treasure.
Get a USB Loader for your Wii instead. I love my Wii now. God damn.
Except Silent Hill wii is on ps2/psp.
fail.
Except Silent Hill wii is on ps2/psp.Planned to be on the PS2/PSP. Right now the PS2/PSP versions aren't coming out at the same time as the Wii version and only have vague 2010 placeholder dates. I wouldn't be surprised if they PS2/PSP versions announcement was just a failsafe in case the Wii version bombed, and may not even exist yet.
fail.
any scans for this new lufia game?

Hope it comes out over here.
Sin & Punishment 2 (OMG AWESOME), NSMB Wii (GREAT), FFCC Crystal Bearers (PRETTY GOOD), Silent Hill Wii, Tales of Graces:drake
...that's about as good as the PS3/X360 fall lineup.
the new lufia game is an arpg. fucking fail.
the series should have ended at the second one but nooo they had to release two more that were the absolute suck and now they're adding another shitty entry.

It'll have better controls and updated graphics. maybe they'll work on the framerate and take out/update the job shit too.

Neverland makes games that aren't arpgs?
NMH > Killer 7hell no
I like how they pick an out of focus shot :lol
Looking at the HD pics, the textures look identical and the geometry is identical and there is no lighting like the Wii version. The only difference is they've added some shine/glean/shadowing to the various bosses and upped Travis' model a bit. Plus given the game a boost of AA so the IQ is clean and sharp.
Meh. Would it have killed them to at least add a 2 new bosses/stages? SOMETHING to make the game worth playing if you've beaten the original?
That building looks completely different.
Port the sequel. Make wiitards suicide.
That building looks completely different.
Building looks the same. It's just lit up vs. dark.
Lightsaber looks different because you mod your lightsaber in the game.
Tattoo is slightly different, yeah. Still looks low-res though.
Yep. Environments look 100% the same low-budget SD
Just seems like Bebpo's pissed he wasn't smart enough to wait!
It doesn't look like an X360/PS3 game any more than the Idea Factory X360/PS3 games do. Or Ar Tonelico III or Last Rebellion or Operation Darkness or any of the other PS2-assets in HD games.
I already planned to play NMH2 with the CC Pro.
A superior version of a piece of shit is still a piece of shit.
Gimme hi-res Killer 7 :drool
Just seems like Bebpo's pissed he wasn't smart enough to wait!
lol. No I played the superior version 2 years ago ;)
Killer 7 also had the best soundtrack of any game, ever.

Ok, now this is silly. I'm not going to get into "WAGGLE IS ESSENTIAL" propaganda or anything, but you're playing it on the Wii anyhow and the wiimote features give the game a few more positives since Suda uses them very creatively. Why would you lose some of the stuff that makes the actual game good?
The gameplay systems in NMH are not very good. The game is fun because the wacky jappy Suda51 story direction/cutscenes/events and because the wacky Suda51 wiimote uses. I'd think the gameplay would be really boring on a classic controller. And it's not like the wiimote controls in NMH were uncomfortable or anything.

because while the controls weren't uncomfortable they still weren't better than what I would expect the game to play like on a normal controller with camera control. I don't think the waggle controls added much. The final slash you do when an arrow pops up is satisfying to pull off, but so is shooting an enemy in the head in RE5. The act of waggling during that part had nothing to do with that satisfaction. MadWorld (and Tenchu 4, and a lot of other Wii games) try to do similar moves that feel dull because the same actions don't have that visual/audio event after pulling it off that makes it satisfying. It would be just as satisfying to pull off those moves with a button press. And waggling to recharge isn't wacky, it's just really lame, just as it would have been if it was mashing a button. The motorcycle waggling to do sharp turns was also lame, as was everything in the open world segment. The only neat thing was changing stance by tilting it up or down, but that same effect could be accomplished by pressing different buttons just like how most action games have it be.
KILLER 7 SUCKS YOU JERKS
Killer 7 is crap faux-otaku bait for Americans who want to be Japanese. Get over it.

Yes. Both games are garbage. Suda 51, LOL. You guys just like the Killer 7 soundtrack and Bebpo likes NHM's wacky characters and story. Nobody is talking about these like they're games. I guess the best way to experience both would be to watch the cut scenes on Youtube.
Killer 7 is in no way otaku bait.
Killer 7 isn't a game. It's a fairly experimental product that doesn't have many peers in gaming. NMH has crap gameplay, story, sidemissions, characters, etc. and is definitely for chubby Americans with loli pillows whose goal in life is to be an English teacher in Japan.
You have a loli pillow demi?
Anyhow, enjoy your port! I'll be playing NMH2 with new content.

Seriously. Whether you love it or hate it, there's NOTHING like K7 in gaming.indeed

Tenchu 4 plays so much better on the PSP. It's easily the definitive version of the game.

I know, I own it on the Wii and PSP. The only thing the Wii version has over the PSP one is that the water is transparent.
Im loving Demis latest schtick.

Are you always this contradicting bro?

He's against a port when he's buying God of War Collection!
What's up with the girl picking her nose, anyway?
No More Heroes + 360 = Love.
Anyone played Flower, Sun and Rain? Worth £8 off Amazon? I'm not one of those people that minds when games don't have much actual gameplay in them, which I'm guessing is the basis for the shit reviews.
But while the game’s sadistic ineptness might be part of the point, it rarely feels like much of a consolation.
4/10

New Super Mario Bros Wii apparently got yet another 40/40

I still cannot believe that Nintendo Dogs and 428 (a digital novel) got 40/40 from Famitsu. Also that the first game to ever get 40/40 was a title released in 1998.
As long as there are no filthy Western games on that list then Famitsu can do no wrong!
I remember the first time I read a properly translated Famitsu review and was like "Wait, these reviews are worthless". It was like seeing Santa shoot the Easter bunny and then eat the barrel himself

I love this song. gives me the chills. and I'm a dork for anything that even resembles or seems like it would fit in a David Lynch movie. fuck, must find the OST, this is the perfect winter song...
jeez, maybe I'll pick up the PS2 version (I know i know but I don't have a wii or gc) and replay this game. A bore playthrough thread may be in order...
