at that growth chart. PS3 is bombing and XBox was already out last year, of course Nintendo is responsible for the growth. And DS sales were in the toilet in the first half of last year, before DSLite.

Have you looked at DS software sales? The nongame market is feeding into the normal market.

I like the idea of a perspective lock mixed with free aim, it's like a free-roam House of the Dead or something. Good idea for Wii games. I think I'll stick with the Expert control mode and free-aim all the time though.

that's the one scandalous thing about Nintendo this generation, even moreso than their offering of an overclocked GameCube

the QUANTITY of peripherals that someone has to buy when they focus on local multiplayer games-- four Wii remotes, four nunchuks, four classic controllers, and now four zappers... all at 40$ a pop, when they cost probably 2$ to make to Nintendo

THAT'S where they make their money, moreso than on hardware sales and even probably on software sales
