Personally I think one the top contenders is New Super Mario Bros. This game is shit, a lot of people were like OMG just like old Mario, we're nostalgia buffs 10/10, the fact is that Id much rather be playing the SMB1 GBA cart simply because the game is actually fun and has quality level design rather than the the blandest, boringest shit ever. Most early 90's shareware PC platformers are better than NSMB. Save Our Pizzas is a more inspired title

OOT is a good choice for all time. Majora is way better, ffs, and that's on the same system so an easy comparison. OOT is just shit.

TVC: The art style while talking to someone is great. The actual graphics make me blind. Let's just say this. The meat of an adventure game are the puzzles and story right? Let's just say that the English translators are more talented than both the games designers and script writers combined

Oblivion is fine (esp. when modded out the butt) but Morrowind was just like someone threw a bunch of assets on a disc and had me finish the game for them. you know how some games are rushed for time and they have to cut out the ending? Morrowind felt like that only the middle and beginning too.

because no one really gives a damn about point and click adventure games anymore since the DVD-ROM era, where games borrowed elements from them and had just as many production values, just as much voice acting, puzzle solving and character development as them

Oddly enough, despite the lack of design, Morrowind is much more fun to play than Oblivion. Bethesda shit designers confirmed.

Shadow of the Colossus is the most overrated game of recent times. The gameplay was boring and the technical qualities were crap. The acclaimed story was amateurish at best. That's what happens when you try to make a game that is like an artsy fartsy movie instead of a game that is fun to play.

MGS is awesome even if you don't have the patience for the stealth aspects of its gameplay. I rambo my way through parts of the games and they were still awesome to play. You're right about the story though. I'll much rather play a game about a midget plumber who has to save his girlfriend from a dragon.

Kenji Eno was awesome, though. His games aren't perfect, but at least D2 and Enemy Zero were interesting experiments, unlike Ico and SOTC.
