How long was your 1st run on Devil Hunter?

My first run was about 9 and a half hours or so.

I finished it on Saturday night. Truly awesomesauce.

Dante is so freaking developed in this game. Spin him off if they're going to focus on nero (and frankly, they could, Nero's combat rocks too).

God the secret ending is so fucking awesome  :lol

easy auto is for lamerz. It was called Easy Automatic in the original for a reason, plebs.

(It will hurt you on boss fights, imo, but other than that it doesn't hamper anyone but people that really know what they are doing)

Capcom should really be chastised for their super cheapoing this game with asset reuse, but whatever, they're going to see the franchise uptick worldwide (thanks to the...ps3 in japan??? lawl), so they're probably very happy. And DMC5 is basically guaranteed.

Re-using assets?

I see what you're talking about Demi regarding auto.  I just hate not have control of the moves which come out.  It's great for getting more style points, though.

The backtracking. Dante needs much smaller levels considering he can't manipulate the environment (and you can't move fast enough unless you have trickster level 3).

You probably hit the correct button combination for the High Roller. I still have to time my slashes just like anyone else, to do Roulette Spin, and the various Red Queen Combos. Once again, exagerration from the critics.

Just don't hate cuz I'm stylin on you

Is there a chart that specifies what input produces what?  I thought it was random.

with my 20 minutes experience with having automatic turned on it was not some 'random dial-a-combo' all it fucking did was rev up my sword randomly as i slashed away, you still have total control over what moves you do. You guys have either been misinfomred or you havent been paying attention

No. I do have control.  But it sometimes spams moves that I don't want to use atm.  Like the high-roller in the above example.

Exactly. You have control but sometimes Nero will do attacks you DIDN'T input, depending on the situation.

If you do high roller, then you should be adept (adapt?) at quickly spicing things up, turning that High Roller into a Roulette Spin, or slamming him down, or Devil Bustering him. I still don't understand the dial-a-combo complaint.

I'm not complaining about it being like a dial-a-combo.  What I'm complaining about is more regarding the lack of TOTAL control in the auto mode.

So exactly how much loading is there in the 360 version?  I just got the game today for the PS3 and even after the install I'm getting loading screens all over the place.  I guess I was expecting to see hardly any at all.

Not much, just in between rooms and before cutscenes, usually for like 3 or 4 seconds.  Doesn't bother me though, it's pretty much the coolest loading graphic ever.

For both Dante fights, just spam your Snatch. Having it upgraded to Level 2 is best. To keep him busy, shoot at him so he is too busy deflecting bullets. Walk towards him, then jump in the air and snatch him. Then slam him to the ground.

If you snatch him on the floor, chances are he will do a Stinger on you, so roll out of the way after you snatch unsuccessfully. If you try it again, he'll probably Stinger again. So for majority of the fight try to constantly jump towards him in the air, and just Snatch and Devil Buster him.

If you connect on the floor, usually a scene of them clashing swords happens. Several things can happen here, depending on the style he's using. Royal Guard, it usually ends in a stale mate, and you have to slice him quickly or he will slice you first. Gunslinger, he usually gets the upper hand and shoots you (which is why you buster him from above). Sword Master, you will deflect his word and fling him away, damaging him.

It is not a very hard fight. On the upper difficulties, he starts using Pandora a lot.

This is what I've been doing. I can get about 1/2 of his life knocked out, but then he kicks my ass.

Jesus, and I haven't even finished the game once, I just beat the dante fight.

I'm not sweatin it though, I always take forever to beat a game.  I bought Ninja Gaiden a year after it came out, took 6 months to beat it, and found out I'm 2nd on the leaderboard.
