as soon as you get off the ship from the disc 3 change and head south through the haunted town -that's not haunted anymore- it's on the first screen in a big door that looks like it leads to a wharehouse on the right.  or if you already passed that, head toward the town and go to the very top, to the next screen, outside to the port, and on the right through the big fat door.

i think the auction is selling the stuff you missed in treasure chests from past dungeons.  when i got to the auction it sold a healing potion from the first dungeon and THAT'S IT.  i guess that means i got all the treasure chests through the game.  i guess it also means that other items from towns and people and shit, if you miss them, won't come back later in the game.  FUCK.

The auction house only sells items you missed from the places you can't get to anymore. If you can still get to a place, the treasure won't turn up in the auction house.

Oh shit, no wonder mine is only selling like 5 different things.

First you have to have a ring equipped. Then when you attack, a ring will appear automatically in the middle of the screen. Hold down RT to get a second ring to close down over the first ring, and let off RT when the two rings match up. It'll take a few few fights to get the timing down, but pretty soon you'll be knocking down Perfects all the time.

I'm almost done with the first disc and so far it's pretty much what I would expect from a Final Fantasy game.  Combat is pretty fun but I wish melee was more useful.  Am I doing something wrong or are the two immortals really that useless in terms of offense?  It's just weird that the two immortals are supposed to be so powerful yet Jensen deals out more damage than the two of them combined.

hmmm yeah Kaim and Seth are kinda weak earlier on but they become pretty useful, pretty indispensible in my party for quick damage

Seth is really fast which comes in handy for delivering the final blow on a baddie thats about to let off a spell

yeah and make sure you have all the Analysis skills equipped, then with a little retooling for each area you'll always be able to exploit enemies' elemental and type weaknesses

That's why it makes no sense in terms of story.  Kaim and Seth are supposed to be superhuman and Jensen is supposed to be barely keeping up with them.

Well they are super human. They can revived after a few turns, take ridiculous amounts of damage. It does fit in with the story. The game takes place during a magic revolution, of course magic is going to be more effective than a fucking sword. It's magic

still he wasn't hard, I've hard trouble with the normal encounters after him though, mainly due to low HP/MP and i am a cheap bastard who refuses to use mp restore items lol.

That was pretty much my strategy too. Once I realized that he would continuously attack Jensen and nobody else as long I could keep Jensen alive, I just attacked with Kaim, had Seth heal Jensen, and have Jensen cast Flare every turn. I'm at the end of Disc 2 now, and that's still the only boss that gave me any trouble.

That was pretty much my strategy too. i didn't beat it yet but from the 7 hours i am in, I'd say it's 100x better than BD unless you love shota and loli, but then again you have two of those in LO so i guess you will like it nonetheless.

the only and i mean the only thing BD is better at is the graphics still LO is better optimized and at least the areas/towns/enemies aren't short/repetitive.

seth hair needs lots of work though, someone tell mark rein to have REAL HAIR CODING in UE3.5 or whatever next time. (she has the worst hair in the game, shame)

I completely agree with TVC on the drawbacks of LO.  LO is a game that I could enjoy, but only when I'm feeling patient.  So far, I can only play it for about 2 hrs each time before turning off.  It's a perfect game for FF fans though.  Aside from the somewhat lackluster cutscenes, LO is just like a FF game, from the androgynous main character all the way to the corny dialogue.

i killed that monster crab thing on the western area that is obviously designed for grinding, and i got some crazy item that creates a ring that will destroy the GC in a couple hits.  unfortunately to create that ring i need another ring i don't even have the ingredients for.  poop.
