they did have two collectors editions but at this gamestop they were actually going in order of who preordered first and not first come first serve. So i got all pissy cause they called me. DONT CALL ME AND TELL ME TO PICK UP A FUCKING GAME I CANT PICK UP.

Doesnt matter to me one day wait is ok. At least i can play Elite Beat Agent. I really wanted to play Gears but i hear its 6 hours. That to me means it'll be shit. If i beat it in one sitting like i did Halo 2 i'll be pissed

Ah no i wasnt. I walked 5 miles to get the game and 5 miles back home after a midnight release. I didnt get home till 3am. But i sat my ass down and played halo 2 for 6 hours straight and got to the last level.

Nintenho i played Heroic just like i did on Halo 1. I eventually after beating the game once played it on Legendary. The stupid save system made me go back a few times cause the checkpoints were right in the middle of a firefight and i'd die instantly. But with heroic i didnt die but a few times. And it was just too easy for me. I think i had more difficulty with the vehical levels than anything.

I liked that it's a short game. Can play parts between other games.

Well.... Err..... I just wanted to make sure I got a copy of GoW for sure today and Citywalk seemed a guarentee since Cliffy is actually signing copies of the game.

I'm teaching at a local art school (Toy design department) now days so I'm not too up to date with all the cool Hollywood design thingamabober scene. Nothing exciting anymore for ol' Shoggie these days.

I got the game tonight. Just finished the first Act. I think that puts me at about %20 done.

The game is freaking crazy awesome. Truly impressed the hell out of me. I was not expecting it to be that good. I still haven't tried the multiplayer, but i'm gonna predict that the multiplayer won't hold the kind of long term entertainment that Halo 2 did. But I think the single player is gonna be much better than Halo 2's single player. The addition of online co-op for the entire single player makes that all the more impressive.

Gears of War is the first true Next Gen title for the 360. I thought GRAW was prior to this, but Gears is much better than GRAW on every level.

You heard about right. That seems to be the consensus. Thats of course if you play it on the casual difficulty setting. I've heard the higher difficulty levels will take longer.

Well higher difficulties take longer because you hide behind crates longer. Thats an artificial extension of existing gameplay. Honestly there isn't really an FPS these days that doesnt involve stop n pop hide behind crate gameplay, but then again im just horribly jaded when it comes to the FPS genre in general.

I honestly can't take anyone seriously until they've personally played this game. It's seriously something you have to experience for yourself. I can assure you I was not this excited about the game prior to playing it yesterday. I thought it would be good, but not this good.

I know its pretty, but i've been playing FPS since ROTT, I sincerely doubt it will omg blow me away. I saw some vids, and I do think the buttons assigned to various situational movements is a neat idea, but its still nothing terribly different.
