Quote from: duckman2000 on July 14, 2008, 01:59:17 PMGears of War 2 looks as flat as ever. I thought they had some fancy new lighting tech that'd cure that? Wolfenstein > Gears 2God please shut up. It already looks 4.75 times better than Resistance 2 and 4567 times better than Haze.ANd Fallout 3 looks like utter dog diarrhea. Underpowered console power strikes again.

Doesn't matter what it looks better than. It looks as flat as Gears 1, and that's a shame. Wolfenstein will wipe the floor with Gears 2.And have you even played Gears? I own two versions of the game, so spare me your dumb shit.

I only had the lower res stream from IGN, but the lighting looked much better than anything in Gears 1.
Speaking of Wolfenstein though, is anyone else sort of surprised that it didn't appear at the conference?
was underwhelmed with the graphics. the gameplay on the other hand looked pretty awesome!
I can't even get into NeoGAF, just 500 errors all the timeedit: where the hell is that ^ from?

Play from hard drive. Copy your games from the game disc and play directly from the hard drive. Not only will the drive not spin, but load times are quicker, as well. Of course, you will still need the disc in the tray to prove you own the game.
Dashboard built into the new Xbox Guide. For everyone who loves the blades interface, it’s not going away; they are now built directly in to the new Xbox guide. Every feature and option is available right from the guide. You can even access your full games library at all times. No matter where you are (in dash or in game), immediately call up your games played list and directly launch a game.

This is just confirmation that even SE realizes the PS3 isn't going to win. First they put DQ on the DS, now FF goes to the 360. If that's not a clear sign I dunno what is. now all MS needs to do is announce a cheaper blu ray version of the 360 and it's game over
where did you get this from? if true.

It sucks that you have to have the disc in the tray in order to play from the HDD though.
