Pretty much. There have been moments when I've been honestly concerned about the well-being of some of these characters (the many 'tons, for example), but it's all nerd stuff. They live in these weird worlds where everything is an extreme, so they talk lightly about shit they'd never have the gumption to actually go through with.

the trailers are on marketplace right...i'll give em a DL tomorrow.  i wasn't as nearly as blown away by the RE5 demo as i was with the gears 2 demo...maybe it was the shitty feed quality.  RE5's bullet hit animations were awesome tho... i think i saw one guy get hit and fall into another guy's legs in front of him and the guy he fell into fell backwards over the first guy

There's a big, previously unannounced game coming. That's all I know of, and I don't even know exactly what the game is. As for "megatons," I doubt there will be much of that. Sony has a lot of stuff to show though, much of it quite cool, so it should be a good time.

Being that Nintendo and MS dropped bombs today, I don't doubt Sony has its own to drop. Will it measure up, that is the question. That is what E3 is for. If the Sony rep looks like he has been up all night re-writing the presentation, then I'll be worried.

I am pretty meh on Sony right now. I don't think they have any big surprises left anymore...they're just going to show that they have been showing all along and maybe something good but nothing like what MS had to cap it all off.

In a way, they will have a better show because they will probably announce new games, but if you're looking for impact...we'll see.

I expect it to unfold like this, in no particular order:

--bullshit about home
--Downloadable games being very innovative and playful, spotlight on Pixeljunk Eden
--Resistance 2 and Quest for Booty
--Killzone 2
--ONE third party game of their choosing will be highlighted. I think it might be Mirror's Edge.
--God of War 3 short teaser, all CG
--Video marketplace service
--Waggle
--Infamous
--One new game that we haven't heard of that will be pretty cool, potentially from Zipper. I've heard some huge MMO shooter type game...they haven't shown anything in 3 years.

And that'll be it. It'll be solid, game-filled...but no surprises.

NINTENDO is going to throw me for a loop.

Animal Crossing and Pikmin and maybe Wii Music. And I know nothing else.

Don't count on it.  Sony has never been one for positive surprises.  Even Killzone 2 at last years E3 which was supposed to be there "Nintendo moment" was leaked before.  Nothing is going to be surprising or pimped too much.  They are very much about getting it out when its ready, and if it has a problem, they will fix it fast.  Microsoft, for as daft and tasteless as they are, even is willing to take bigger chances.

And infamous trailer made me think there is a teeny tiny bit of hope tomorrow.  Best trailer all day.  The game looks phenomenal.

Uh, there was a website with a big train that showed the Helghast mask and symbol when you moused over it. Not sure how that could be called "leaked."

New game footage and demonstrations is plenty more interesting than the Great Announcement of Our Time, a game going multiplatform. I'd say the standards for makes a good show are pretty damned low at this point. But I'm sure Sony will beat those odds.

I thought you were implying that I regurgitate rumors (and confirmations) from sketchy dudes on the web. I'm pretty sure it's been spilled a few times already though. It was a bit of a mess anyway, but he was talking about Atari, which was supposed to be the publisher, making a deal with Sony over Fallout 3 exclusivity. He got some other, smaller things right, but that was the big one, and he failed.

I think he's back on NeoGAF, for whatever that's worth.
