It was everything I expected and better. GO NOW SO AWESOME.

The ending was PERFECT. No Bond theme the entire movie then the last line "The names Bond, James Bond" and the theme screaming in.

Tonight marked the first time I actually paid full price for a movie in a couple of years. (both automated ticket machines were broken)

Yea, the movie was great, and I'm not a big Bond fan at all. The chase in the beginning was fucking awesome, holy crap. The high point of the movie actually. The card playing was cool, but

I'm kinda pissed at what they've given away in the commercials and trailers. $:-\$

Overall pretty damn awesome, but the slight cheese that always gets to me with Bond movies leaves it behind the Bourne movies, but just barely. Bond is back. Hopefully, the sequel can keep it up.

Third in my movies this year, behind Borat and The Departed.

I just don't feel a HOLY SHIT coming out of the theater. The Departed has spoiled me.

This is kinda why I brought it up. I guess it's because of the way Rotten Tomatoes just goes by positive or negative. The Departed was just so fucking awesome. I didn't feel the same way coming out of Bond, but like I said, I'm not a huge fan (mostly because I've really only seen the Brosnan Bonds, so how could I be) On Metacritic, The Departed has an 89, while CR has an 80. That's about right. Casino Royale is definitely the best action movie since the other rebooted franchise, Batman Begins.

The ending snuck up on me, as well. When the last scene started, I thought the movie would go on for awhile more. I wasn't until the last line of the movie that I realized it was actually the end. Fan fucking tastic.

CrystalGemini and I saw it last night and we both agreed - it rocked. The ending was fantastic and some of the locales they shot were beautiful. And no fucking CG. This was totally a throwback to the days of THUNDERBALL and the like. I loved it.

Also, did nobody catch that they're obviously bringing back...

Was i the only one disapointed that they didnt have any girls in the theme montage? Awesome theme though the only good use of CG in the movie if the only scene with CG.

Anyway I loved the movie to death seen it twice and both times i left extremely satisfied.

The scene with bond getting poisoned that was intense as hell. At the end i felt bond was bond finally he learned the lesson that he needed to make in order to become Bond.

Note the thing about her being in one scene of 22 is from a different interview. It's probably a flashback I would suspect.

OK, Ive said this a few times, mostly on GAF, so I will do it again here. Ian Fleming worked on a screenplay for a Bond movie with Kevin McClory and some other dude. Things went tits up, and they abandoned it. Fleming wrote Thunderball soon thereafter, and it basically was their joint screenplay fully fleshed out into a book. McClory sued Fleming for plagiarism or something like that, but they settled it and McClory got a producing credit on Thunderball. Some years later, McClory, who obviously had no talent to come up with anything decent ever again, sued Fleming (or EON, I cant remember) again, and this time won his case (or perhaps they settled again), and got the rights to Thunderball, any potential remakes, and some of the Bond franchise assets (Blofeld, SMERSH/SPECTRE). He made NSNA, and the canon Bond franchise killed off Blofeld without mentioning his name or showing his face. McClory went to court again early this decade, in an attempt to remake Thunderball AGAIN as Warhead 2001. The courts ruled on the side of MGM/UA this time. So McClory owns those properties, but he can never make a Bond movie again. MGM/UA/Danjaq/EON/Sony own all the Bond film rights, but can't use Blofeld or SPECTRE.

Who knows. I always thought Blofeld was kind of lame anyways. Ive much more enjoyed some of the other villains and henchmen (Red Grant, Largo, Scaramanga, etc)

I DO miss the SPECTRE/SMERSH-esque crime syndicate though, so Im glad they are bringing that element back.

Either tomorrow night or Wednesday Im finally gonna go. I would imagine the craze has died down some at the cinema.

I kind of like how they are making the bond serious cohesvie again, not like the previous films. Anyways, this movie rocked all kind of ass. Every one of my friends loved it and the ending was just spectauclar. This movie deserves to make money, and hopefully the strong word of mouth is gonna give it legs. It's currently in my top favorites of the year.
