You know what? I wish Obama had brought up Britain and the IRA. I guess it's a matter of perspective. I grew up in a system with lots of minor parties and two major parties, but neither of the two were really ever powerful enough to form governments without forming alliances with other parties. This seems almost like a parody of democratic politics to me.
