Living in constant denial must be tragic.

How is it constant denial if it's fucking true you half a distinguished mentally-challenged fellow?

It's not my fault this game has a terrible navagation system.

Perk that makes blood packs give decent amounts of health, If you got that, kill them all.

They got lippy with me and I killed all of them. The town of Arefu becomes hostile if you do that. I have neutral karma as well due to the fact that I fucking steal EVERYTHING of worth from everywhere, but am a goody-two shoes in every other way.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the game. It's well done, just it's not a 10/10 as everyones been screaming. It's got some legitimate problems that a few extra months in QA would've ironed out.

If EA published the game they could release a Methodis edition that has arrows and big balloons above items saying HERE I AM.

I mean honestly, you'd get less people laughing at you if you bitched about a legitimate bug, like the Regulator Captain running off into the wilderness to die to Radscorps. This crusade you've taken against the mechanics that actually work for everyone but you just makes us all laugh.

Where is the Lincoln Memorial? I asked at Underworld and they said go east, but when I go east I end up at Capitol Hill and got sandwiched by talon company and then by enclave distinguished effete fellows

Oh yeah, what's better Eugene or the custom armor with the bonuses? What's AP again?

play the main quest up until the point where you get to the citadel, and "gunny" will train you to wear power armor

it won't take long, the main quest is actually pretty short as far as rpgs go

Moriarity wants a lot of caps for him to tell you. One of the hookers in the bar can be coerced into giving you his terminal code. That is all the info you need.

I thought you got it just for agreeing to do the Guide quest, but maybe it depends on your choices when you chat with her the first time.  It's not bad considering how extremely early you can get it.

That's not even the best armor. I think the Tesla Armor still edges out the Brotherhood Medical Armor, but its trumped by the Brotherhood armor in Fort Constantine or whatever which I couldnt get to. I guess the medical armor automatically injects you with Med-X and has a little computer voice inside.

Still once you get to citadel you can train power armor for free and just go wild. You will in most cases run into troops wearing standard Enclave Armor which is still awesome looking, but most of the troops from helicopter drops have the Tesla variety. If you bum around the Citadel you'll eventually see an Enclave Heli touch down with some troops to cause trouble, you can kill them all and take their armor and yum, plasma rifles. You'll wanna go all out energy weapons late game to become ultimate death with plasma rifle.

Actually there's two entrances to the sewer (it's in Old Olney sewer, not Deathclaw Sanctuary). There's one that you fall down to get to, but just nearby theres a sewer lid you can get to that basically warps you straight to the armor. I figured that one out when I had found the second entrance, then I kicked myself. And died.

I executed Tenpenny and blew his head off on the balcony, and the camera did that thing where it follows the decapitated head, and it was soooooooo awesome as it plunged half a mile to the wasteland below

BTW I am still early in the game and getting my ass handed to me. Doing the Wasteland Survival Guide missions but they are kind of kicking my ass. Having problems dealing with far-off turrets especially. Any ProTips or things that I should be concentrating on?

Beef up your lockpicking and Hacking to at least 50, which lets you hack "Average" things, which is majority of the game - this includes terminals for disabling turrets

Also for hacking, if you're about to lose, back out and try again, you get 4 tries again

Use the "Here and Now" perk right away when you can

Use the "Well Educated" perk as well, it gives you more points when reading skill books. Learn the names of the skill books too - they're basically anything that isnt "burnt book" or "pre-war book"

also keep a stock of

* Pre-War Books (later in the game, in the national archives)
* Sugar Bombs (for the guy in the tunnels near the Family) - 15 Caps a pop, you can even buy them from peddlers for less and still make profit
* Exploration (for Reilly) - dont explore much, if you do the Reilly's Rangers quest early, you can then start discovering places at your leisure, then stop at Reilly's to get some quick cash

abuse VATS

beef up on small guns, you'll be using mostly shotgun/assault rifle/rifle

Just because I don't like the game doesn't mean I can't say it has some good things. I love the perks, and I loved that robot mission, just the game is way too scary for me, and I don't really like that. Kinda feels like it's a job to get through the game, similiar to Bioshock.

Bioshock isn't scary except for that one part near the beginning where you turn around and someone is standing there.  I jumped.

Fallout 3 is actually one of the only scary games I've ever played if only for the sense of isolation and how the world is laid out.

I just find the atmospheres scary, which is what did me in with Bioshock and whats doing me in with FO3. Like I don't ever want to return to these worlds, ever. I guess I actually feel the part of the characters, except i'm not having any fun. Just surviving.
