Animal Friend lover level I and II are a great perk. A bunch of animals don't attack me, which makes traveling the wasteland easier (no yogi bears attack me) and some missions too where the building is filled with dogs and molerats and shit. Plus they attack non-animal friends too, the yogi bears are especially strong cause they always come in pairs.

i was sick of being attacked so much by animals i took both levels.

kind of cool because i've walked into areas and had talon mercs immediately beset by mobs

Have you tried starting the game with the cd out of the drive? This solved my problem with 'The Settlers'. lol
The securom or whatever protection was doing it. Also, try to find a no cd .exe.

try this?

:You can use Data Execution Prevention. Got to the startup and go to Control Panel. Then, Go to system Maintenance. After that, go to system. On the left, it should say Advance system settings. Click it. Where it says Performance on the Advance tab, Click settings. Then click on the tab that says, Data Execution Prevention. Then click on add, and find the exe file in the game folder. Click apply and ok. There. It should work.:

This seems to be a problem for a few people around the forums.
Good Luck.  ???

Coincidentally sadly is the fact that you can't comprehend anything i've said such far, based on the fact that game killing bugs by Bethesda are not my problem.

Bethesda has a pretty bad track record with stability, when we're talking real issues (not being too scared or being lost), its just unfortunate pirates have made it so hard to return PC games.

Still, even tho I beat the game on PC and it ran great MOST of the time, I still had my share of crashes.

yeah, i'm going to.

I can't return this so I'll keep tinkering with it and hope Bethesda puts out a patch or something.

I decided to get it on PC because I saw the pics posted by you and others and it looked too awesome.  Seems like there are tons of issues with people who can't play it.  I need to register for the Bethesda forum so I can tell those guys they can get past the new game glitch if they disable heads =\

That sucks Rob Thomas.  For a Bethesda game, I considered it pretty stable, but it sounds like there's something about your configuration the game doesn't agree with.  Maybe it's the whole 64-bit thing?

I'm running on Vista 32 bit.  It seems to be some issue with my ATI card.  Lots of people are having issues apparently.

Now I can't get past my dad closing that gate when i first start walking.  It crashes everytime.

I need someone with good repair skills or someone who sells repair parts. Would be nice to get my weapons to like 75%+ Between megaton, rivet city, big town, there's no one.

Finally gonna massacre and blow up megaton today, after doing the library part of the Wasteland Survival Guide.

If you guys want to get easy achievements, go 10 Charisma and 100 Speech (that might be backwards). You can pretty much get any quest, wait for about three days outside the town, go back, talk to them and use 100% skills to tell them you did the quests.  :lol I did that for the Android, Survival Guide, and countless other quests netting me achievements for nothing.  :lol

Say you pick up 3 hunting rifles. I'm using the on in the best condition. Click the hunting rifle and REPAIR should light up in the upper right hand corner. Click repair. You will be taken to another screen and choose one of the rifles in shittier condition. That rifle will disappear. It will also tell you how much you are repairing it.
