you can eat people in this game?

goty

Yep, I was all like :o when I was sifting through the perks

Also, exploring old Vaults = omfg. Being a Theif, I got a Recon Outfit from one of the lockers... +5 to Sneak ability. I also have my lockpicking skills at 75 and I'm getting some cool loot. This is how Oblivion should have been.

I loved the replicated man quest. The plasma rifle you get is really good (at least at this point in the game). I'm level 11 and everything small guns is beefed up to a degree that no enemies are a threat anymore. Regarding the Those! quest, does anyone know what happens if you

Yeah that's the gun I'm using right now, but I'm still thinking about walking around the DC ruins and picking up the Lincoln rifle.

Finished up the Ant next. Killed the Queen AND that bastard scientist.
[close]

Any tips on getting ammo and caps because seriously, beating that Ant took everything I had. I have zero ammo, I broke my missle launcher in the middle of the battle, and I have zero caps.

Game of the year...until Persona 4, when it will only be tied ;)

Your best bet early in the game is to sell pretty much ANYTHING.  Pick up as much as you can carry and sell it, regardless of how much they're worth.  That way you will:

a) get caps
b) pick up ammo along the way

Just be an avid searcher.

I guess I can sell all the shit in my Misc part of my bag but I'm not selling my armor or weapons.

They quantify as "small arms," even though that doesn't make much sense.  Your best bet, again, early on in the game, is to dedicate a lot of points towards small arms as that's what you'll be dealing with until you hit a third of the way through the main story.  Then you should start thinking about big guns stats when you start picking up mini-nukes, flamethrowers, missile launchers, etc.

Storywise, I'm SUPPOSED to be heading for the Washington Monument, but fuck, there's like 9999 Super Mutants there. I've made it inside the Museum of History and the Underworld, and that was great. More quests! I can't make it to the Museum of Technology BECAUSE I CAN'T FIND IT. Maybe I found it couldn't be damned to look for it because the amount of Super Mutants after me.

Since I'm a good guy, these Talon guys are always after my ass and it's annoying. How do I erase these pests once and for all?

I've been looking for more Vaults. I've heard that there's Vaults out there but I haven't found any.

The underworld is basically the only peaceful place for Ghouls to live normally.

I've been looking for more Vaults. I've heard that there's Vaults out there but I haven't found any.

there are, but three of them are related to quests (two main, one optional).  I think you should check out Vault-Tec HQ first to get all the access codes beforehand if you want to scout them out.

Me and Fawkes were ripping shit up tonight. We tackled the Capitol building and took out all the super mutants inside. Went to the White House and picked up my first Fat Boy. Not even 3 deathclaws attacking at once scare me anymore cuz we are the unstoppable super team.

The SatCom facilities were really cool-looking but I don't know what purpose they serve.

BTW, do I get any XP for Fawkes killing someone? He ganks my kills :/

Himuro, prepare to laugh at yourself.

The Museum of Technology is right fucking by the subway entrance. If you take the metro path from Rivet City, the building is on your right when you emerge.

Yes, it is a bitch getting there too. It's like the Super Mutants are having a Fuck the Shit out of You party right in the middle of the fucking mall. Thank God for Underworld.

It's in the Museum of History. There should be a Female Ghoul Guard outside walking around.

She is in the medical area lying on the bed, and it's a girl.  The mission that comes from that is long, but if you want the best lightweight armor in the game, you should do it.

Where's Vault-Tec HQ?

I don't remember exactly.  If you do the Agatha quest (she lives in some hidden mountain area) it will tell you the way to the HQ and a vault.

I wonder how in-depth the GECK mod kit for PC will be?  If you'll be able to import your own voiceovers, etc?  Also, if normal players like me will even be able to do anything at all with it.  I have a couple of ideas for what I think would be cool little quests, but I'm astupid about any kind of programming whatsoever.

Don't bet on being able to do anything amazing if you don't know any programming.

Also the best gun in the game is the plasma minigun. So. Fucking. Awesome.

When it comes to tunnels...

Frag Mines (Multiple mines for more enemies) + Combat Shotgun =  :pimp

Lure them out, BAM! A fucker still gets through limping? Shotgun to da' face.

This slowed down Role Playing like FPS fight mechanics is so fucking fun. I hope they and other companies build on this melding of awesomness and awesomeness.

Got some good ammo/money tips from some nice fellows at gaf:

Sometimes outside Megaton, there's a trader. He's got a Brahmin caravan and there's always someone out there to help him protect the merchandise. Kill the trader, then kill his guard. Loot everything they've got. You will get a key on the trader that allows you to get to his supplies. Take everything. Sell all the crap you don't need, repair dud weapons with the loot you get from the pile to make them stronger. You won't have ammo problem if you're doing that.

If you're rolling good guy like I am, you can balance this evil act by giving the dude nearby, Micky, some purified water, which is a good act obviously. It balances it out this way so you don't get too bad. You can get purified water from the robot in your house.

Anyways, I've been selling all the misc. crap I don't need on my trips, and I went from zero caps to about 1200 today's playthrough.

I made it to Rivet City (?), went to Vault 112.

This is goty. Only thing that will come close is Persona 4.
