Make sure you play the text adventure game hidden on one of the terminals.

FUCK I missed that. which terminal was it? i presume its the one in the room with all the desks and the hole in the floor?

I think so. It's something like "Prototype Department" or whatever.

US invaded China, using the newly-developed power armor, which overwhelmed the Chinese military.  They panicked, let the bombs fly, and everyone else followed suit.  I'd like to see a Fallout set in another country, because evidently no one was spared.

With my newly rolled chick toon(level 4 I think) I've already done quests I didn't in my last play through.  This game. :bow2

This time, should I pay Moriarity the 300caps for the info, or just trick the hooker into giving me his password again?

Will the rest of megaton attack me if I do? I don't plan on blowing it up(I didn't on my last play though either)

Ok, the Dart Gun is officially the best stealth weapon ever. I'm able to shoot people with it, without going into "Danger" mode. Headshots are usually insta-kills with humanoids, it'll cripple both legs of enemies immediately (no matter which body part you hit) and there's 64 Life Damage over 8seconds.

I found the schematics on the west most side region power station (a little NW than pure West). Its just a caged station that needs to be unlocked (Hard level lock). Its a fantastic weapon for crippling/poisoning Humanoids and Animals (Mutants/Ghouls won't be hurt by the poisons , it'll still cripple their legs, Robots can't be crippled or poisoned with it, Radscorpions seem immune). I want to test it on a Death Claw (if it cripples their feet instantly, then they'll become easy prey).

out in the wasteland raiders, mercenaries/regulators, animals, deathclaws, radscorpions (by the time i got to level 20 there were radscorpions behind every fucking rock) all repopulate

super mutants pop back up, but with less frequency

the insides of buildings stay clear once you've killed everything

what perks should I concentrate on? I'm level 13-14 now and I've been doing intensive training every level for about what feels 10 levels now. Should I concentrate on something else? I've maxed str, int, and i've been putting into luck for critical hits and extra stuff for skills.

try a fun perk like mysterious stranger

he only pops up like 1 out of 10 times you go into vats, and sometimes he's useless because you're about to kill your enemy anyway, but it's still fun to watch

Early on I learned Gun Freak or whatever, which gives a significant boost for my small guns repertoire. I've done some other perks too like educated. All of my stats are now at or above 5, so I think I'm good, right? I should concentrate on something else.

Just finished my second playthrough with an evil character. Definitely not as fun as the first time. I only made it to level 17 by doing just the main quest, even though the intense training perks were the first ones I upgraded.

I did the Lady Killer (go figure), the added gore one (looks pretty gruesome when you kill someone in VATS), the one where you get an extra skill point from reading magazines, and I found boosting my resistance has helped me out a LOT with surviving encounters and not wasting tons of stimpacks.

spending your perks on intensive training is a waste, i just use the bobbleheads to give my stats the +1.  go for stuff like cyborg, action boy, better criticals, nerd rage, light step, sniper, silent running etc

with cyborg and the android's plasma rifle, you will soon be unstoppable

Head of State is the STUPIDEST FUCKING QUEST EVER.

spoiler (click to show/hide)
I cleared the Lincoln Memorial of slavers, but those dumbfuck slaves would never show up no matter how long I waited for them.  I decided to follow them and protect them - since I've seen a Yao Guai waste an entire group of raiders I figure they're probably dying somewhere.  Well they've been walking around for two days now (about two hours realtime) and we just left FUCKING FAIRFAX.  Who design the shitty paths these people follow because i hate them SO MUCH.  And oh my god please stop running in front of my gun and then turning on me when you get hit christ.  do I have to put with bullshit like this for any other quests?

It seems that monsters in the wasteland do not attack them if you're not around, so don't even bother.  Same thing goes for the slavers if you take the karmatically opposite path.  They follow the caravan road and you can see where they are on the world map -- they're marked with a quest marker.

Cyborg is a great one if you've been using Laser Weapons (10 Points to Laser Weapons Skill and something like 10% Resistance to Damage, Poison and Radiation).

Also, Intelligence is a great SPECIAL to max out. I was getting 23 skill points every level (with 1 level of the perk that gives you a bit more skill points). With the bobbleheads considered, I maxed out Laser Weapons, Small Weapons, Science, Lockpicking, Medicine, Sneaking and Explosives. If you factor in the Bobbleheads into your skill point distribution, you figure each bobblehead equals 10 free skill points, with just the skills I maxed out that's 70 free Skill points.

I also have Comprehension and my Speech and Barter skills are going up slowly.

With my new chick, I thought it would be cool to take the black widow perk which does an extra 10% damage to all male enemies. There is the same for male character to do the same damage to female enemies, but most of the enemies are male.

It's already paying dividends. I took down Arkansas in 2 hits.  8)  Super mutants are pretty easy to take down now.8)

make sure you rat out that cigarillo in the bar before you disarm the bomb

then kill him before he kills the sheriff and you'll get a key to the armory
