The one for Three Dog is very easy, especially if you've already got the Washington Monument on your map for fast travel.  Also, it takes you through the Museum of Technology, where you can do Prime's mini-quest and get the Xuanlong Assault Rifle (the most powerful small arm in the game).  Do that one.

make sure you rat out that cigarillo in the bar before you disarm the bomb

then kill him before he kills the sheriff and you'll get a key to the armory

doesn't the robot there still kill you?

I dont have any of those waypoints yet, but I am on that Prime quest I guess (the one where Im supposed to go to the library right?)

How far along in the game am I at this point you reckon? (I also got Li's quest to search for my dad at the Project Purity HQ)

The Prime quest takes place entirely in the Museum of Technology.  It's not a real quest; you just get a note about using computer terminals, breadcrumbs, yadda yadda.

Here's a link explaining what you're supposed to do to complete the quest because if you fuck it up, you get locked out and you won't be able to get the rifle: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Tech_Museum_Loot

You're not that far, as far as I know.  Actually, that's about where I am, and I'm level 20.

I can't believe, on my second play through, that I forgot to tell the sheriff about Burke's plans. :maf

I disarmed that shit, and now Burke is gone.

I guess I have to murder that smug fuck at his home instead.

I love shooting them in the face with my shottie, I wish I had more AP though.

About to hit Level 14, just did Waters of Life quest and made it to the Citadel. Gonna do a few subquests before going back to the main story... FINALLY getting the hang of lockpicking (without resorting to forcing the lock), and I can take down Super Mutant Brutes with ease now that I have the Sniper perk and the perk that increases your critical chance. So far, I'm definitely liking the game a lot, but the dungeons are kinda boring... they all look nearly identical to one another, the only one I thought had real character was the Museum of Technology.

A few more questions:

-I read a bit about the Slaver quest ("Strictly Business" I think it's called). Do I only need to enslave one character, and would it hurt my karma drastically if I do?

-Is there a list of the locations of the Super Mutant Behemoths? I only found and defeated one so far, it was locked up in an enclosed cage in the quarry near Vault 112.

-What are the small triangle arrows on your compass for? There sometimes are a solid triangle, and the outline of a triangle, in addition to the large quest marker arrow.

Gonna definitely finish all the subquests, perhaps make all the weapons, still not sure if I'm gonna collect all the bobbleheads yet tho.

You can enslave one and be able to get into Paradise Falls. The rest are for Quest completion.

Solid Arrow = Known location
Transparent Arrow = Unknown location

Yeah, I want to do Quest completion, but I already killed Arkansas when I went to Minefield to do Moira's quest. So am I fucked out of the achievement? (I think I have a savegame before then at least)

I think you only have to do the ones that are left.  Like you, I'd already killed Arkansas and Red was dead, so I only had to get Flak and Susan.  I'm not sure of the good way to complete this quest, but after completing (and recieving your negative karma) you might just want to wipe out Paradise Falls; it should more than make up for your karma loss.

On my first go, I always just aimed for the head in VATS. Now I always try to hit an arm or leg first, which ever one has the highest % rating. I'm at the point where I can take out mutants with a hunting rifle, and they can't get a shot off unless they surprise me.

The early Moira quests are easy. The radiation one is easy. Just go down by the bomb and drink the filth and you'll be radiated in no time. She'll heal you for free and give you meds. Go to Super Duper Mart to get some weapons from you murdering raiders.

IMO, you want to keep close to megaton early in the game. I wouldn't head toward GNR or Rivet City until you were close or over level 7. All you fight is mutants over there.

What are some good early quests to build up your character?

First things first, I'd at least try and make it to the GNR headquarters, this is entirely doable if you have the Brotherhood take care of the Super Mutants. Then, I'd think the best thing to do would be (instead of suffering like me, constantly reloading when I hit the Mall, looking for the Museum of Technology and getting my ass kicked by Super Mutant Brutes) explore the overworld, looking for new areas for quick-travel purpose. The one quest where you find Red ("Big Trouble In Big Town") is from what I recall pretty easy, and some of the Moira quests are good for exp (though the one where you have to raid the Mirelurk den is a BITCH, if you're trying to complete the optional goal of not killing any).

Also, I'd do a few excursions over to the Super Duper Mart, fight Raiders and get some of their armor. One thing that I didn't realize at first was that armor degrades as you get attacked, and loses damage resistance... so you'll want to repair them.

I wish the 360 version had that... the same 3 or 4 ambient tunes that play throughout the game are kinda getting old.
Kamaya Painters - Wasteland (Chab's Tribute To Bedrock mix) would be my first pick of course 8)

Badlands armor can be repaired by any other kind of badlands armor. It doesn't need to have the same name.

Can anyone verify if mentats can temporarily boost your repair skill?

I've also found or bought almost 100 .44 magnum rounds yet still have no gun to shoot them. I'm stocking up!

that's pretty easy to do in the pc version by accidentally clicking

you pc guys know how to bypass the disc check, right?  if you don't, all you do is make a shortcut from your exe file to your desktop and launch the game from there - it goes straight to the main menu bypassing the launcher.  you'll still need to use the launcher to do any resolution or settings tweaks, though.

WTF?
I buy some ant ferimone to  give to the chick that works at the restaurant in Rivet City who like some Diego dude, but she is not there. So I wait until night, but after the wait is over, security surounds me and tells me to leave/ I start walking away and they open fire on me.

Was this because I spread the rumor of the addict, barely? I have no other reason to believe than that. :lol :lol

Also, I've ditch the idea of carrying a bunch of shit around to eventually make weapons from schematics. Fuck it for now. I only have 1 schematic anyway.

I just dump all my extra weapon stuff in my apartment in Megaton. i quick travel there to sleep and dump stuff/cure addictions and then quick travel back.

those bottlecap mines you make freaking rule. i took out 3 super mutants with one mine. i have plenty of lunchboxes and whatever else you need, but not enough cherry bombs.

the only other item i can make is a shishkebab, but after i made one i found one on a raider so it wasn't as interesting. plus melee weapons suck.

The back area of Rivet Town, split off from the normal area. You have to physically leave Rivet town and go around to the bow to get to it. You can use the door on the outer side (that's locked, Hard or Very Hard lock) or you can get in between (where the ship is snapped in half), go under water on the right most side, there should be an unlocked door down there. That way, you have to watch out for Oxygen depletion and two Mirelurks.
