You haven't found Paradise Falls or Republic of Dave yet? Man, you're missing out. Republic of Dave is in the top-right corner, and Paradise Falls is north of Vault 101.

Paradise Falls is awesome.

I need to mess around in Republic of Dave a little more.

Is there any way to sway the election away from Dave? I can only get 2 adults to run in the election and they vote for themselves but everyone else votes Dave

The only way to do it, afaik, is to open the election box the moment Dave unlocks it and remove his votes.  From what I understand, this doesn't really affect anything other than some character interactions, it's just kind of silly.  You'll get Dave's unique hunting rifle out of the deal, but there are plenty of other ways to obtain this as well.  I ended up shooting Dave in the face with a sawed off while he was sleeping.

Damn, I'm staying up too long at night playing this. :lol

I can't wait to get to Paradise Fall since I've unexpectedly ended up being very evil.  Stealing so much stuff is making my character more evil all the time in spite of some saintly quest choices.  Finally a game with some actual consequences for sticky fingers. :rock

Looting actually isn't all that much of a karma hit.  And, other than taking good quest routes, you can always just hoard purified water and hand it off to the bums sitting around Rivet City and Megaton for an easy boost.

I think stealing is a 0.5% hit on your karma if you steal from a good person.  I've given away purified water, but the looting is outweighing it all.

I suppose I could donate to the church and then steal it back, but I'm digging how kiddies don't like me.

If you run for it and wait for three days no one will care if you killed him, and I think he gives good karma.

theres only one way to gnr and there is a super mutants including one behemoth that will mess you up so be ready

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Galaxy_News_Radio#Directions_to_Galaxy_News_Radio

Thanks for the info - I ended up putting my marker on GNR, and it showed me every door to go through to get there - pretty cool!

I panicked for a minute when I got to GNR's door and it said it needed a key.  I thought I was screwed but then I noticed the intercom.  They should have made intercoms bright flashing pink - that's the second time I've forgotten about them. :lol

Give Crowley the keys and follow him out of Underworld, kill him, take the keys and if he isn't already dead, go speak to Tenpenny and get your reward.

I think Greta goes on smoke breaks every once in awhile.  If you don't want to wait for that, you can get away with sneak killing her when she's standing in front of the flaming trash can.

So it's a good idea to grab some power armour at GNR?  It's so heavy I didn't bother at first figuring it'd be easily available later.

I might drag some back to my pad regardless and keep it in the cupboard so I can play dress ups.

Anyone else make use of the Tenpenny Room by using the balcony entrance?  I can't bring myself to blow up Megaton, but I like the room.

If you go through Mr Tenpenny's suite out on the balcony and walk around the corner you can enter the empty suite from a door there.  I've been using it like this, the only downside is that I can't decorate it of course.

Republic of Dave  :lol

I killed them all the first time, but I'm doing a second playthrough now as a charismatic ninja, so I bought my way in the second time. The guy in the box is still alive right now, but I guess that's because I'm doing the subtle breakout. Only problem for me is that I need to figure out some way to get him out without the guards killing him, and even if you stealth kill one, all the others instantly become permanently hostile.  :-\

Also, Bethesda needs to add a satisfying conclusion to the Tenpenny Tower quest. Even if you diplomatically allow them to coexist, Roy Phillips will just kill all the humans anyway within 2 days, and if you ever kill Roy after finding out, it still counts as a karma loss, WTF.

turns out i just needed to use a stealth boy to plant grenades on crowley and greta.

for some reason though charon wanted to kill me for opening that dudes safe after he shot him. so i just used another stealth boy

this game is so awesome. i wish i wasn't scared of those yao gai things though

I just found out that using the Tenpenny suite freely seems to be dependent on not completing the Power of the Atom quest.  I did the quest a couple of hours ago and the suite now needs a key on the balcony door too.  Luckily I loaded a save from half an hour ago and the suite is still open so now I have to move 2000 pounds worth of stuff to my Megaton house...

As long as you don't complete the quest, it seems it's OK.  I used the Tenpenny suite for about 27 hours of game time with no probs.

Yeah I felt like this too, was really disappointed with it.

It leaves a bitter taste, but maybe that's what Bethseda wanted, not everything can work out how you want it in the Wastes.

While I'm a bit disappointed too, I must admit it's a pretty awesome way to do things.  The consequences in the game are really quite neat and in a way I wish they were even more dramatic.

I've been looting for my whole game and have only just found out I have a bounty for being a prick.  I totally didn't expect that and it's downright awesome.

I consider Riley's Ranger armor to be the best in the game, so it depends.  It's just a custom Brotherhood Outcast power armor, so if you're into Power Armor and don't have the other two major ones, it might be worth it.

I consider Riley's Ranger armor to be the best in the game, so it depends.  It's just a custom Brotherhood Outcast power armor, so if you're into Power Armor and don't have the other two major ones, it might be worth it.

I like the Ranger armor for the bonuses (+5 ap and +10 small guns, woot!) but overall feel like the medic armor is the best.  Well, the Ranger armor has the bonus of being reparable with any old combat armor (including armor from those talon company choads) so maybe so... just wish it had a better max damage resistance.

I'm at the Oasis. I saved right in front of the heart. Should I:

Kill it
Stop the spread
Accelerate the spread

I've read about some armor you get. What did EB do?
