Looks like Jaime's confrontation with Ned occurs in the middle of the day, instead of at night. A bright mid day battle kinda ruins the suspense of that moment. Plus it's kinda odd that Ned and Littlefinger would leave a brothel at that time lol

Yeah, that latest clip looked really good. And I did pick up the first book and read the epilogue a while back, but then I got totally sidetracked. I might force myself to read it next. Always better to read -> watch.

Some people complain it's slow, but the book relies more on intrigue/suspense than balls to the wall action. As it progresses things get more deadly.

The first book probably won't grab you from the start, but there's a certain point where things start to pick up and you won't be able to put the thing down afterwards. CoK was a bit of a disappointment for me, but really... You need to read these to get to Storm of Swords and that book is just insane. It's without a doubt the best fantasy book I've read. For character reveals/development, for the general plot, for pacing... GoT and CoK will feel like mere buildup for what goes down in SoS. It's so so good

SoS is the reason I really want to see this show get a third season.

Trailer looked good. Can't wait for that 15 min making of next week.

I wonder if it costs more than Boardwalk Empire. Luckily they're shooting in Ireland where costs are considerably cheaper than many other locations; Rome was super expensive in part due to filming in Italy.

Wow, it looks amazing. The casting has been superb from the beginning, and seeing the actors and actresses in costume re-confirms things. Sooo glad they recast Dany btw: she looks beautiful.

Really the only gripe I (still) have is Robb being aged up so much. I realize they had to age characters up, but his story could lose some of its emotional impact with him being a young man at the beginning of the series.

edit: still don't think she's the perfect Cersei visually, but Headly pulls off the dialogue/mannerisms perfectly. And oh god Jaime looks like a royal Sawyer from Lost lmao, so awesome
