Guessing they haven't finished the sound/score yet; when Marllion slaps the table you'd expect some type of sound.

Catelyn looks much better than I thought she would initially; still liked the original actress more (she looked exactly like I had imagined Catelyn) but this one seems fine, and early reports suggest she knocks the role out the park.

Yes. And it was good. I like the world he's created, and the whole multiple viewpoints gimmick, even if some of the female ones are awful. The female characters in general are kinda terrible.

GRRM is ballsy with his willingness to kill off characters, but I've heard this comes back to bite him later on. Guess I'll see. I can definitely understand why people are ready to end themselves if the next book never comes out, as I imagine he ends each installment much like he ended the first.

I'm really looking forward to the show. Just the few clips I've seen definitely influenced my reading, as I imagine Eddard Stark as Sean Bean the entire time -- which was great.

I've just been listening to the audio books, which are really good. Roy Dotrice elevates them from a simple reading to something quite entertaining. Shame his health forced him out of GoT, he would have been a great Prycelle. I wonder if the DVDs/Blu Rays will feature some footage of him in the part.
