The 4 Emperors don't seem interested in One Piece, which is over in Raftel. Maybe no one knows how to get to Raftel. Maybe Raftel is an island similar to Sky Island where no one seriously knows how to get there, and it feels like a myth?

There's also the fact that most people have a tough time getting to the new world to begin with.

The marines probably wouldn't want to cruise in the new world partly because of the Emperors, for fear of starting war.

So you have a mish mash of people getting fucked before the red line, people getting fucked at shabondy due to it being so close to marineford and marine hq, you have people who probably are completely unable to compete with the Emperors and Warlords on an even level, we know so little about Raftel that there's probably a huge secret to get it probably related to ponleglyphs - so you'd have to able to at least decipher the old language.

It seems to me Shanks and Whitebeard aren't remotely interested in One Piece. Whitebeard already competed with Roger, and if he wanted it by now, he could have gotten it. He seems fine being the most powerful dude in the world. Shanks probably knows the secret to One Piece, but doesn't feel like there's much adventure in getting it since he already knows. Shanks passes on the dream to Luffy and Whitebeard to Ace.

At least that's what I think.

If someone were capable of getting One Piece by now, I'm sure they would have a long time ago. And that's half the mystery for me: why the fuck hasn't anyone gotten it?

Whitebeard is just standing there because he's TOO STRONG and if he attacked he'd destroy the HQ along with Ace. Instead he's being the military commander and just beating up dudes who try to take him on where he is standing.

Smoker beating Luffy down was showing that Smoker (as with a lot of the unseen cast of sub-characters) has gotten stronger as well.

Ok chapter. Best part was Jinbei being AMAZINGLY BADASS FOR THE nTH TIME. Jinbei could probably beat down all the shichibukai on his own if he wanted.

At least we're going to get Kuma's backstory out of this arc. Which will probably tie in to the anime follwups to Franky's adventure in the Vegapunk lab.

I'm not sure yet because the RAW hasn't come out but it might be due to the fact that funimation's subs aren't HD quality. It looked like alot of detail was missing due to the video quality.

Robin's episode was like 20 minutes long, while Usopp was like 3-4 at most. So it's quite possible Zoro's mini arc will last like the whole ep.

He's trying to kill Whitebeard and got punched by that diamond guy (a Whitebeard division leader) and then Don Flamingo was like, let's team up and Croc was all "whateva, I'll do what I want." We'll see if he joins up with him or not.

but watching the anime until you're caught up with that and continuing with the manga from there is another good route. The problem with that is there are so many One Piece groups that acquiring all the episodes is beyond frustrating.

Null is the best One Piece manga group, they're slower than others because they only translate high quality scans from the graphic novels that are released and not the weekly scans from Shonen Jump.

I think you're better off starting with the anime, but skipping the filler arcs. Once you catch up, switch to the manga.

If you're trying to catch up as fast as possible, then just read the manga.
