Good chapter. Nice mix of comedy, action, with fast pacing.

One of OP's problems that it has to overcome at this point is the crew is too large. If Oda wanted to give a full in-depth fight for each crew member you'd have 3 months of crew fights and nothing happening everytime the crew got into a fight, which is what Bleach does, and what is awful pacing.

So instead I think Oda's solution, if this arc is any indication, is he's going to rush through most crew member fights quickly while moving the plot at the same time each week. I doubt we're going to see any in-depth fights besides a final fight of Luffy vs. Hodi and who knows if we'll even get that. Ever since Marineford or even Impel Down the fights have been short and it's been more of a focus on the adventure and plot with constant action than being a shounen fighting manga. Wax Luffy vs. Poison guy was the last real full chapter+ 1 on 1 fight iirc.

The anime will probably stretch all this stuff out like I hear they did with Marineford.

Anyhow, Brooke was great in this chapter "I'm already dried up!" hehehe

Also the sub-commanders are not bad in this arc. The guy whose only power is to camoflauge on the ground while people trample on him is hilarious. "HEADBUTTING YOUR FOOT"
