God this is the only Wii game I'm jealous of not getting! what control schemes does it support?
To answer your question if I had a Wii I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
the other was Tenchu 4, but that is coming to PSP in February
really? REALLY?
when was this announced?
Famitsu confirmed it a little while back, but it was said to be coming right alongside the Wii version for a while now. The PSP port looks pretty good, too.
If the wii was region free I'd be all over Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom like it was an easy fuck.
Talking about your mom? That's sick.
PLEASE try to avoid making OT-thread-derailing comments like this one.
wait wait wait
Wii only?
wow, such fucking fail
Yeah.

On the flipside, it DOES look great (the art style used is SUPERB-- I like the backgrounds more than anything in SF4), and runs at 16:9 and in 480p at least, but you can't help but wonder how much better it would look on superior hardware. The game also just hit Japanese arcades and runs on a Wii-compatible arcade board. I guess Capcom figured the added minigames and Tatsunoko characters would be a good fit for the Wii audience. My theory is that we'll see this game on other platforms (if not next-gen, then PS2) at some point in the future. This IS Capcom, after all!
I'll pick it up in a few week when I'm in Japan. I pick up almost all the fighters and play them with my 1 fighting game friend. Unfortunately most fighting games have been iffy in the last 4-5 years, so I'm wary of a 3 button Wii-audience vs. fighter. But I do like me some Viewtiful Joe and Lost Planet mech, so I'll give it a shot.
Hey Lyte, one of the things I don't like about the videos are that it looks like every character has the same combo chain. Like everyone juggles and does this generic air combo ending with a super. Are the character combos more varied in the real game? I really don't want a shallow 3-button fighter
Also I'm not shelling out extra $$$ for a Wii joystick I'll never use again. So I'll have to enjoy playing a fighting game on the Wiimote @_@
I know about as much as this game as you do, Bebpo. I am guessing the combos you are talking about are the baroque combos? I have faith in Capcom; even their most fucked up and broken fighters still have enough depth. This being an arcade game as well also bodes well for longevity. We'll see. Frankly I am more excited about this than I am for SF4 (home version). At least this game has NEW characters. And the arcade version should have all the characters that the Wii version has. Another plus, unlike SF4 which in its current state now feels like a beta version, roster-wise. I don't mean to go off on a rant, but I am really disappointed in both Capcom and SNK for using so many old characters in SF4 and now KOF XII, which has ZERO new characters. WTF? Sure it looks better than the previous games, but I can play KOF '98 Ultimate Match NOW, with plenty of new moves, added characters, and tweaks. So fucked up.
Yeah. If it was on the PS3/X360 or even PS2 maybe it could have had 6 buttons like a normal fighter! Or even 4 would be a little better (jab/fierce, short/roundhouse). 3 just seems sooooo wrong for a capcom fighter.
It IS four IIRC; three attack and one assist button. But this is not something to get up in arms over. Capcom has made three-button fighters before (remember JoJo's?), and then the last Vs. game had four attack buttons. Never mind the 3D fighters that make use of two attack buttons just fine.
