If you're a total stud: ride in on your horse, dead-eye a couple guys near the target, then switch to lasso and drag him away from the camp.

If you're like me: sneak in, dead-eye EVERYTHING but the target, including the horses (denying egress), then rope the bounty target. Once he's on the ground, hogtie him, pick him up, and put him on your horse.

For kicks, if you are asked for help by a roadside lady standing by a carriage, rope her up, take her to the train tracks and toss her in front of an oncoming train. Dastardly!

Man, this game...

I got a bounty and I was heading to Armadillo with him on the back of my horse. Suddenly I saw he fell off, went back, and was being attacked by a pack of coyotes. So I killed them, but somehow my horse (my beautiful Stallion that Bonnie gave me...nooooooo) and then a bunch of outlaws came and tried to kill me when I was horseless trying to defend my bounty from a pack of coyotes. I killed the coyotes, killed the outlaws, stole one of their houses and headed back to town to turn in my bounty.

What an adventure.

I'm pissed about my horse though. WTF

There are tons of crazy stories I had happen to me while playing that I didn't even bother to share in the thread. Lots of cool things just happen because of all the random interactions going on. I actually think its easier to do a western open world game in that sense because you can incorporate all that random shit and it just kind of feels natural.

What the fuck.

Is there a "wrong way" to do missions? Because that Stranger mission American Appetites...I found the cannibal guy, he was going to kill and eat the guy I had tied up, so I killed the cannibal and let the tied up guy go, and there's no end to to the story. He just runs off, no achievement or anything. Did I finish the stranger mission or did I bring myself to a dead end by not bringing the cannibal end.

Also saw some guys chasing these guy. I thought they were bad because the guy they were chasing was an old man. Turns out they had badges and I got a $25 bounty put on my head. Oops.

I did the same thing, first time I saw two guys shooting at a running old man. :lol

That American Appetites Stranger Mission is the only one that's easy to "screw up" - It's obvious that the cannibal is up to no good, but you have to bring the guy back to him in order to progress the mission. It will give you a chance to prevent damage to your conscience, don't worry. And since it didn't give you the message that it finished or progressed, you can wait an in-game day and go back to the area to re-try it.

By the way: If you like playing as a good guy, you might not enjoy some of the Nuevo Paradiso sequences. Just a warning. Once you get to move north again, things become less muddled again. The NP missions sometimes felt like GTA IV's stuff, where it was hard to explain the player-character's motivation for doing it. John seems to be grasping at straws that the assholes he's helping will actually give him what he needs, and the costs he pays in the currency of other people's lives seems higher than even John would accept.

Never let it be said we don’t listen to our fans!
Due to popular demand, we are going to release a pack for free download on both Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network which will provide compatibility to allow those who do not have the Legends & Killers Pack to still be able to see other players that do who are playing as Revolver characters.  Of course, you will still have to purchase, download and install the Legends & Killers Pack if you want to play as those characters yourself.
These things take some time to create, test and release – so please be patient and we’ll keep you updated as to when to expect it to be available – likely in the next few weeks.

Yeah its good that they are offering a free DLC pack so Legends and Killers owners can show off their characters to the the dirty poors.

At least Im pretty sure the pack will be free, those extra costumes were promised as a gift for the multiplayer having issues earlier in it's life. New single player challenges attached to them too!

Im really looking forward to the "Liars and Cheats pack". Multiplayer Poker and Horse Racing FTW!

A couple of my Japanese friends are excited to get the J-localized RDR in October, but they're worried I'll be "done" with the game by then. HAHAHAHAHAH~! Fun game is fun. Though if I get to Lvl. 50 again, this time I will probably sit at Lvl. 50 until I'm done with the game, then mop up that 'cheev.

After thinking it'd never happen, I grabbed Double Bagger during a particularly slow Gold Rush game this morning. The two other guys couldn't seem to grasp the win condition. I picked up the win and the 'cheev on the same double-bag drop off. WOOT.

Is it possible to cheat? I don't mean people hex-editing their save data, I mean aim-bot.

I laid three head-targeted Repeater shots into a guy from about 50 meters; in an instant, at that distance he turned and nailed me with a Schofield Revolver headshot, one hit, I'm dead. I didn't know the Revolver could (a) lock at that distance or (b) pull off a headshot from free aim, due to shot variance. At first I assumed it was a lucky shot, but the guy proceeded to clean house with one shot kills. This was against several other high-level players, finishing with 27 kills three deaths; if he could see you, you died. Seems like an aim-bot, because even seriously good players I've seen online don't behave that way.

Achievements are tied to your gamertag. If you signed into your GT anywhere, the 'cheevs are assigned to it. Online, offline-then-later-online, the stats will be updated. It's impossible to "lose" and Achievement.

Huh.

This is something I was just thinking about trying this morning. I realized from using the sniper rifles in single player that the main reason people "get lost" for a few instants is because it's literally the center of the screen, not the user's perceived center based on the third-person camera. I felt like I'd only use the sniper in multiplayer if I had a center-of-screen reference mark before drawing the weapon.

It hadn't dawned on me that it would be useful in all cases, esp. if Expert aim is in use.

I remember doing something similar in Double Dragon II on the NES to get past those damn disappearing platforms towards the end of the game. I put black electrical tape on my screen so I'd know where to jump. I thought it was pretty ingenious for being being only 8 years old.

The thing is, these guys are in cover, line up their sites while people (well, I) approach their unassailable position, and then rise from cover and kill with a headshot in one smooth motion. Casual Aiming will only get you torso shots.

You can pull that off with Normal aiming though. I can lock on, move up to the headshot in less than 1/2 a second. I dominated some fools with a buffalo rifle the other day, I could sense them swearing at me and wondering how I kept on one shotting them, while they spent seconds fumbling around getting their toys ready  8)

1180/1200 now, just need the 'Legendary' achievement, which I can get at the the push of a button as I'm already level 50, just waiting until I have all golden guns first, beacuse all my hard-earned headsots will be reset if I do.

Other cheev I need is the BS Hold Your Own one, which is very easily boostable so will hit up Chronovore this weekend to nab it.

How we will boost it: posse up and start a gang match at the marker in free roam Chuparosa. Skip games until we get a hold your own match. Someone scores twice, then quits, nabbing the achievement for the other player. If other people join (real unlikely) we can just kick em.

I was seriously having a hard time with the headshots my last two sessions. It looked frequently like equal settings, same weapons, both walking with drawn weapons, and I would shoot the guy in the head, twice even, and still end up buying it. It wouldn't bother me if we both went down simultaneously, which happens enough as-is; it's just that the other guy is still standing, casually running away from my corpse while reloading.  :maf
