I barely remember it, but it's not bone-dry. Optimization, uh, no idea. But it runs on Gamebryo, so you'll probably be fine. The GT240M can't be that terrible.

hows the dialogue/optimization?

cant push this GT240M that hard :snoop

I don't think it taxes the system too much, just turn some thing down and it should be okay.

Dialogue is mostly kinda loopy, with voice acting that's all over the place. Mainly, it doesn't really take itself too seriously most of the time.

allright so... like with atelier i've tought that if i tried the first game and i didn't enjoy it much i should be a sport and try the last one (it worked with atelier ayesha, man ayesha was so awesome) so i went and tried neptunia v (which would be the third one) hoping it would be better and....

this is bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad

this is so bad word can't describe it,this is so bad that i want to go kick in the nuts whoever said "you should have played at least the sequel" when i played the first one (was it powerslave?) this is so bad that the milding 6 review for once feels insulting the other way around, and the problem is i want to like it because i find the premise hilarious and i want to play a game where character cracks joke and act like silly-hats,but the game just sucks so much and just won't let me like it,i think this screenshot sums up pretty nicely

it's a joke,about the game recycling content

:snoop :mindblown

oh and the level at which the game recycle content is a-ma-zi-ng,not only the game reuse art assets but it reuses dungeon layout... let me repeat this, this game re-use dungeon layout, some recycled enemies aren't even pallette swap and differs only because they have a different name and pumped up stats (which is hilarious the first time you die because you fight something that looked like a junk enemy but had amazing stat instead) this is even more amazing when you consider that (apparently) this is all recycled from the previous game

there are quest, some of them require drops which obviously don't always drop, some of them requires stuff that drop from enemies that appear only if you deal with a bullshit sub-system where you send scout to explore which is completly random, and some of them (thankful not the one that requires you to find the rare enemies) are mandatory to continue with the plot, that's right, you can't continue with the plot until you kill enough enemies so that you get 3 of random junk in what has to be a clear terrorist attempt at you trying to squeeze any enjoyement out of this

the bosses are another bag of awfull too,all of them hits as hard as truck and often one shots your party member to the point more often than not most boss fight ends with one character dying and resurrecting, one character doing the resurrecting and two actualy doing any sort of attacking, they also have huge health bar and to top it off, some of them also regenerate health, your only hope reside in your limit bar like attack which in turns deal so much damage that it shaves 50% of the boss health in a single swoop oh and the DLC,did i mention that there are DLC weapon in this game and that they are more powerfull than any weapon you can find by actualy playing the game? it's exactly like that penny-arcade strip with the credit card sword only it's real

the reference and jokes are amusing and the reason i want to like this game, for example there is a whole chapter dedicated to retaking nintendo land after the rise of the playstation, one of the character is a little mouse thing called "pirachu" in what has to be the greatest portmanteau ever, another one is called anonydeath and basicaly act like your stereotypical 4chan user oh and the final boss?
spoiler (click to show/hide)
it turns out to be an enraged fallen out of grace atari :lol
[close]

but even this is ruined by the character going on and on and on and on and on,character never feel like shutting up,there are like cutscenes lasting 3-4 minutes about nothing, most of them also happen right before a boss fight so if you fuck up you are then forced to go trough the cutscene again, you can fastforward cutscene but even then it takes like 1 minute of cardboard cutout going in and out of the scene

back in the ps2 day in the name of playing jrpg,i played some pretty good turd (with the most notable one being tales of legendia and a close one being stella deus) but this game beats them all, this is the worst rpg i've ever had the displeasure to play, this game badness is so bad it should be told on campfire stories, this should be like the new virtual hydlide,no amount of "told ya","what were you expecting" and "lol, loli's" could have prepared me for this

Bonus :snoop

after racking my brain i think i have to go as low as the D- stuff on the first year of the psp to find a game as bad as this

i don't trust the internet when it comes to jrpg so if i'm told a jrpg is bad i don't believe it until i try it for myself (you know that saying that goes "the proof is in the pudding") even then i wanted to play this because i saw it being played by people that plays game i actualy liked (like mana khemia) those two screenshots for example are taken from a youtube playtrough of a guy who has gone trough pretty much every NIS published game including agarest war, truly the greatest trooper i ever know :japancry

I finished Game of Thrones.

Story got pretty good near the end, shame it took 3/4 the game to get there. Gameplay is really, really bad.

I can't say I care for this series much. Political intrigue is hella boring.

Got Sims 2: Freetime off of Origin. I never played this expansion back in the day and I'm loving it. It allows dual aspirations!

So I rerolled and remade America and her brother. Both still in Strangetown aka GOATtown.

Some of the fucked up antics I'm getting into?

I'm going to have Nathan impregnate ALL of the ladies of the Singles household and not buy an iota of child support and see what happens!

Split marriages! Cheat on people! Nathan lives the dream of making alien babies! :rejoice

I have America befriending the people of the Beaker household. They are assholes who do tests on one Nervous Subject, a boy with no name and mysterious past.

America gets on well with the head honcho of this clan, asshole that he is.

Why does the exterminator like America?

I'd like to introduce you all to a Maxis made Sim: Nervous Subject and his alien impregnated friend Pascal.

They get along with America really well!

So well, that Pascal is willing to allow them to throw water balloons at his pregnant stomach. How could they?

Among the experiments Loki Beaker and his wife Cerce (:o Cersei :o) inflict on poor Nervous are electrocution experiements. They connect a machine to act as a conductor and have him step inside a tub of water as he's electrocuted.

WHAT THE FUCK

But the thing about Nervous is that this doesn't kill him! Instead, it gives a boost and fills up ALL of his stats including comfort, bladder (???), fun, hunger, and comfort. WHAT THE FUCK.

But the best part is when he steps out.

GOOD AS NEW!

:bow SIMS 2 PREMADE SIMS AND THEIR AWESOME STORIES :bow2
:bow Strangetown :bow2

Please God, let Sims 4 have the spirit and love that made Sims 2 one of the best games ever. With Rod Humble gone from EA, I'm optimistic especially with the latest Sims 3 expansion looking at baller and refreshing as it is.

anyone else try the Fuse demo?  It's pretty boring and charmless.  Doesn't really have a hook that makes it stand apart and the core cover based shooting isn't great.  It's reminding me of Haze.  Not for the game quality but the circumstances around it.

I got Ace Combat 5 in my GameQ for the near future. I tried playing Zero like six years ago and couldn't get into but I am going to try the series again. I don't care for racers, fighters, schmups, sports or flight games but...fuck it.

Started playing Two Worlds II last night since I got a free code from Treesong. This game starts out slowwwwwwww. 2 hours in and I feel like I'm still in the tutorial. The voice acting blows..... the worst I've seen in a long time. The game is gorgeous. I think it has potential.

apparently Crimson Sea and Crimson Tears are two different games...no Crimson Tears on Xbox  :'(

Crimson Sea has the worst kind of action game controls.  Your fingers are holding down every damn button on the controller to lock-on and kill something, while the camera jerks around the whole time.  :lol

It opens up shortly after that. Once you leave the little island you are on you have a decent sized continent to explore.

I enjoyed the game but never got past that first continent/region. I just explored and did side quests (along with a few story quests) until I had my fill. I've been meaning to go back to it one day though

The thing about the first Two Worlds is that it was so janky and incompetent that fun could theoretically be mined from the game. The second was an actual attempt at a legitimately good game and it floundered. All the fun awfulness of the first was sucked out to make a mediocre piece of garbage.

cool.   waiting for a big price drop on this though.  $50 lol

continuing my RE streak with Resident Evil 3.  This is the only game in the main series that I haven't played ever.  Started on hard, game seems pretty incredible so far.  that music.

two things:
--when does this take place in relation to 2?  some of the stuff in the station points at it being before (no medallion on the statue, zombies still alive) and others point to after (boarded up doors.) Edit: oh wait, i just remembered the black guy is dead in the office when she gets there...so after.  how long after?

--do they ever explain why she's wearing that outfit?  she out on the corner before the outbreak?  :lol

RE2 has the better scenarios and replay value due to the A/B or B/A storyline. Kamiya and his team took everything great about RE1 and enhanced it. But RE3 enhances on what RE2 did. It isn't as good, nor as memorable, but I think a lot of the gameplay additions (like the weapon ammo customization) really make for some great stuff. Also, the puzzles are among the best in the series.

Port RE1-3 to steam, Capcom!

Finished all the Challenges in From Dust. some of these were stunningly frustrating. I tried each a few times without a guide, and a few of them required 10+ tries even after I peeked at a guide.

The game succeeds on just about every level for me. I'll be sad to set it aside once I'm done with my final, "lose less than 5 villages" campaign run.

I'd buy it on PC just to see the graphic improvements, if I had a decent PC and uPlay DRM wasn't involved.

Disgaea 4

i finished with the plot (mostly soloing with valvatorez, who got to around level 250) and this was so no amount of can describe it,it's still fun to play because it's disgaea so you get your colorfull character and big number to crunch but at the end of the day,the character and plot aren't as interessing or fun as the original cast and crunching the numbers is harder because they introduced a bunch of annoying stuff and made experience multipler harder to come by,back when i didn't have a ps3 i wanted to play this really badly and now that i have done so i feel disappointed, the ending is also super underwhelming,a villain shows up with the most feeble and bullshitty connection to the main characters during the last 30% of the game, the heroes defeat him and then that's it... it feels totaly underwhelming, one of the character from disgaea 1 also pops out for a brief cameo for no other reason than reminding me how much i liked the first one, tough one things confuse the hell out of me

eh i don't really care about strategy

i was watching some DLC video and there are a lot of cool cameo's

you know hearing the music from all the other games really make me realize another thing i don't like about disgaea 4,the music is just so tepid and unremarkable
NIS really should do an all-star game instead of doing things like this

this bit of "not makai kingdom 2" is more interessing than the actual plot of disgaea 4,FACT! :aah

5:15 just say no to perverts bore! :-[

I'm not even sure what anyone plays Disgaea for.

the first disgaea was amazing,it's cartoony character were a huge breath of fresh air compared to the like of tales tragic heroes and the grinding was fun, fun, fun"but how can grinding be fun? grinding is a chore!" that's because it happened so fast, like every enemy you punched you made a level and then it imploded in a pinata of loot,it was sort of like playing a dragon quest game where every single enemy was a metal slime and it was awesome... many concept introduced were also pretty novel where now they are just repeat so it's really more about a case of franchise fatigue rather than "hur dur what anyone plays disgaea for"

just think about this, the first disgaea was so popular that it made the american branch of N1 a thing, before atlus published disgaea there was no NISA at all

Disgaea is for the gays. Unless you like WACKINESS and more grinding than a middle school dance. Trash

There is no way I am renting Devil Summoner 2. I sent back DDS2 today because of burnout. It's just too long for one rental period. I'll have to buy both these games at some point. I'm getting Tomb Raider HD Trilogy Friday, and have For Answer, Dark Athena and Ace Combat 4 for the top three of my GameQ.

nisa - forever to be known as the company that started because a single game sold about 140k.

a number they hilariously have never come close to reaching themselves

did they? vgchartz (i know,i know) say disgaea 4 got to 200k,anyway why it does even matter? we should be happy a company decided to start out from such a small start and became decently sizeable while bringing all of the gust games (and err... i guess the compile heart and idea factory horrible stuff too?) instead of moar fps,one of the reason i used to love atlus is because they brought a lot of japa-stuff like disgaea itself, the sting games and metal saga, now they publish stuff like this :fbm

actually magoose, i don't own (and never have owned) a single nisa game, so their existence is frankly neither here nor there to me

of all the niche publishers, they tend to localize the worst games and do the worst job of it, so yeah, really the only net result of their existence as far as i'm concerned is that their own decent games have received shittier localizations than they would have otherwise.

eh i think they do a decent job on their own games, and having bad japanese game localized is better than having no japanese games at all

I think I only own Disgaea 3 because someone was selling it for $10. I found the guide for $1 at a record store.

Ichirou bought me Sakura Wars Wii.

started tales of graces

- man this really looks like a wii game...
- title now gives stat boost and skills? woah :o
- where the heck are MP? i keep mashing circle but no art comes out
- is this prologue with the kids going to be long?
- i gave a quick glance at the trophies and 5 of them were "finish the game in X" does that mean a platinum requires 5 playtrough? cause that's really fucking stupid
