Finished Super Robot Wars BX which was unforgettably average. So now I'm back to playing Ao no Kiseki. a couple of chapters in around 13 hours or so. Game is good, just like all the previous Trails games. Nice sidequests, slow but good main quest, good music/battles/characters. These games are very relaxing to just sit back and play a few hours and do a couple of quests.
Also playing some more of Tri-Ace's Exist Archive which I'm still liking. The the 2d side-scrolling controls are horrible & stiff and it's been forever since I played Valkyrie Profile but I swear that felt a lot better to play. But that's my only real complaint, the story/character stuff is solid, reminds me of Persona 3/4 with a big cast of modern hip high-school kids who are decently intelligent and have some style, and the battles are good. Plus the music is super epic Sakuraba that I haven't heard since Baten Kaitos and that makes everything go down smoother. Between the music, the side scrolling platform rpg, the simplified visuals and the dozen characters and stats and sub-systems, the game is really nostalgic. Feels like I'm playing a PS2-era original jrpg in HD.
And started playing Soma last weekend, might play some more of it today. Like it, although I'm not sure if it's scary yet.
