because unlike the wii it's actually good technology. plus it's new so theres no software so they have to pick on the obvious tech demos
First off, I don't even own a Wii and haven't even played one. I only have a 360 actually, andplay a handful of games each year, and thats it pretty much. I like to keep up with E3 mostly for nostalgic reasons and also to see the business moves each company makes.
So, really, I'm only responding to the idiots with like no business or common sense really with this thing going "OMG Wii owned teh technology is bettur!11!!" Hey, I'm all for competition, competition is a good thing for the consumer. If Microsoft wants to burn money, thats fine by me, they definitely have plenty of it.
I'm simply responding in a business sense with this thing. It's not going to take the world by storm, its not going to sell consoles for 360, and its not going to do a damn thing to Wii sales. You like it, you think its interesting? Fine, thats cool. But if you say shit like "OMG this kills Wii", thats pretty fucking stupid.
Its amazing how ridiculously stupid videogame message boards are from strictly a business sense, thinking they know what will and won't sell and what will and won't be a hit. If Nintendo ran their company straight off of how a message board would, they would be bankrupt by now.
E3 circa 2000 - "OMG SEGA wins E3 hands down! Dreamcast!!!" Result? They're out of the console business about a year later.
Nintendo unveils motion control? "OMG distinguished mentally-challenged, horrible, Nintendo is done." Followed by Wii naming? "OMG WTF are they on!" Same with DS. Result? Nintendo rolling in dough like no other.
You think its cool, fine, just don't say any sort of "Wii killer" or "Wii owned" because business wise, none of that will come to fruition. If you think it kicks the Wii's ass technology wise, thats fine. It's just not going to do a damn thing making money and you're a fanboy moron if you think that.
