What I said was correct, especially after the Activision CEO said they were going to exploit their franchises and drive them into the ground.

Yet Harmonix is exempt, even though they've blatantly exploited their past franchises.

They're releasing their discography as DLC anyways so who cares. I'm just glad I'll be able to play my two huge requests, Hey Bulldog and Don't Let Me Down on release. Then again, I do have direct contact with one of the execs at HMX :teehee

Oh and no Happiness (Is a Warm Gun) sucks but whatever. Also the only thing that doesn't make sense is that Hey Bulldog is Yellow Submarine era (strange that isnt on it), but it's listed in the same set as Abbey Road...

Missing a lot of classics. Thank goodness for DLC. It's a pretty good setlist, however.

I was expecting to see Eight Days a Week and Happiness is a Warm Gun, though. Both are great songs for harmonizing.

Update: A Harmonix spokesperson has confirmed to us that this leaked list of songs is definitely not the track list for The Beatles: Rock Band, saying, "The rumored 'leaked' list is not the disc track listing for The Beatles: Rock Band. I feel silly for not noticing the list was fake.  The intro to the game has A Day in the Life in it, so it only makes sense that the game would have it as a song.

watch the real tracklist not have it either

The Beatles: Rock Band priced at AUD 349

Australian online retailer JB Hi-Fi has listed The Beatles: Rock Band full band pack bundle on its website at AUD 349.

If accurate, the listing indicates a similar retail price of around GBP 170 to the original Rock Band, although the site doesn't suggest its price is the official recommended retail one.

The bundle includes Ringo's drums, Paul's Höfner bass and a pair of microphones. Rickenbacker 325 and Gretsch Duo guitars will be sold separately and will be released, along with the bundle and standalone game, on September 9 across all territories.

Known songs in the game

Quote
The following tracks and venues have been confirmed for The Beatles: Rock Band:
"Twist And Shout" (Cavern Club)
"Do You Want To Know A Secret" (Cavern Club)
"Can't Buy Me Love" (Ed Sullivan Theater)
"I Wanna Be Your Man" (Ed Sullivan Theater)
"Eight Days A Week" (Shea Stadium)
"Paperback Writer" (Budokan)
"And Your Bird Can Sing" (Budokan)
"Yellow Submarine" (Abbey Road Dreamscape)
"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" (Abbey Road Dreamscape)
"With A Little Help From My Friends" (Abbey Road Dreamscape)
"Within You Without You"/ "Tomorrow Never Knows" (Abbey Road Dreamscape)
"Birthday" (Abbey Road Dreamscape)
"Dig A Pony" (Rooftop Concert)
"I've Got A Feeling" (Rooftop Concert)
"I Saw Her Standing There"
"I Want To Hold Your Hand"
"I Feel Fine"
"Taxman"
"Day Tripper"
"Back In The USSR"
"I Am The Walrus"
"Octopus's Garden"
"Here Comes The Sun"
"Get Back"

I bolded the songs that I believe are bad choices. I bloded "Within You Without You"/ "Tomorrow Never Knows" because I'd prefer they didn't use the mash-up.

They probably won't be included in the game because Abbey Road will be the first album available for download. If Harmonix included "Something" and "Come Together" they'd be creating a disincentive for consumers to purchase the album.

I think it's lame that a game devoted to a single band will be missing some of the band's best material just to help download sales.

There are already cases where RB has a song in RB2 and then went on to sell the full album. One track off Red Hot Chili Peppers' Bloodsugarsexmagik, at least.

You're not giving them enough credit.  Most of the big-name songs will be in the game, and really, who cares if you have to pay another $10 to round out the collection?  It's a small price to pay for the fucking Beatles.

5 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About The Beatles: Rock Band
1. Paul McCartney fact checked the entire game. Every Beatles fact, photo, and video has been reviewed by him for complete accuracy.

2. Every song in the Story mode has two photos that serve as rewards for your performance. The first one is awarded at 3 stars, and the second one at 5 stars – difficulty doesn’t matter. The photos are all rare, or never-before-seen.

3. The extremely hard to find The Beatles’ Christmas Album is included in the game, in its entirely as an unlockable.

4. This game wants to train you to be the fifth Beatle – there are 45 different tutorials for the vocal practice mode, and a whopping 86 different ones for the drum trainer, which is entitled Beatles Beats.

5. At the end of each song, long-time Beatles producer Sir George Martin tells the guys in the band (a.k.a. you) how well they performed on each track.

Bonus: In the Dreamscape for “I Am The Walrus,” the band is decked out in the same costumes that are on the cover of the Magical Mystery Tour album, which means that John is, actually, the walrus for the duration of the song.

Bonus Bonus: In addition to Abbey Road, it was just announced that Rubber Soul and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band will eventually be available as downloadable content.

A week before my visit, Yoko Ono spent a day at Harmonix, tweaking. “Stop talking about the technology,” Rigopulos said she told them. “Let’s talk about the idea of what we are trying to accomplish here. John needs to own the performance, he needs to own the room. Where he’s looking and the look in his eye at every moment matters and affects people.” For the developers who were in the late stages of work and more than a little burned out, it wasn’t exactly a pleasant visit. “You can’t tell a computer, ‘Make his eyes look good,’ ” one artist pointed out to me. “You have to create a quantifiable system,” plotting “interest points” in key places and programming characters to look at those points at key times, say, at the other singer when they both lean in to the microphone, or at the camera when it passes by. Ono told me later that “John had this look that showed he was high-spirited and strong-willed,” which wasn’t coming through in the game.

Their entire discography will probably end up as DLC.  The release schedule so far is:

September 9 - All You Need is Love (360 only until December)

October - Abbey Road

November - Sgt. Pepper

December - Rubber Soul

Also, in the song select menu, the White Album shows up as 'disc 1' and 'disc 2'.  I wouldn't be surprised if each disc were treated as a separate album release so they can squeeze more money out of the consumers.

I like RB1 and RB2. Play it now and then mostly when I go over to friends houses. But I had an incredible time playing it at PAX that I'm getting it on Wedneday. I'm not a day 1 person. I'm a wait for $30 (or less), but man I'm so totally psyched over this game. I just wish I could convince my cheap ass to buy the whole band set.

I'm picking it up.  I heard that doing anything other than singing is really boring, but these are the first songs in Rock Band that I feel like I could sing, so problem averted.

So, how will one have more than one person singing? Drum, bass, guitar and one mic is 4 ports. The PS3 only has 4 USB ports...

Don't know how they ship the bundles on the PS3, but my 360 version of RB1 came with a USB hub.  Also, for 360 I know you can use the controllers + headset to sing.
