I started the game. Went to options -> graphics and it was default at 1920x1080p (my monitor res).

Probably some kinda driver problem. Try adjusting the refresh rate if the game gives you the option, like 60HZ to 59HZ instead. I've experienced that bug with some games before.

I bought Guild Wars and I can't play it due to the fact that I linked the CD key to a trial account and the login requires a character's name and I sure as fuck don't remember that.

Pretty hype for Civ V. Great price on Civ IV if anyone has somehow missed it before. Same price on the D2D sale atm. (They have Fallout 3 for $15!)

I bought Dirt 2 last weekend and the damn thing won't run. Never even get to a splash screen. It just says 'stopped working.' I guess I will look into it this weekend. Sux.

Also, to get GW to run, I had to create a new master account at NC's page. Didn't feel like waiting on all the hassle of going through tech support to retrieve an ancient account.

Steam's been giving me a fuckload of problems lately. It freezes every single time after an update, I have to use task manager to shut it down and then restart.

Mine has been refusing to connect initially then not connecting but still running in the background frozen. I've had to shut it down via task manager too.

It drives me insane every time Steam doesn't show up in the taskbar in Windows 7. Seems like every update to the client is treated as a new program and I have to show all and notifications.

The bloom on de_dust was just retardedly, eye-bleedingly bright. The sky is blooming, but the light is also blooming off the sand and every pretty much every outdoor surface, so you're looking at just solid bloom. Every time somebody new would enter the game they were like "WTF, I can't see shit!"

They don't hold up that well, and 2 isn't as good as 1 imo. I'm in the same situation as Great Rumbler, too many games but $7.50 is hard to pass up
