Medieval II is pretty awesome. It's a mixture of Civilization, Europa Universalis, and real-time battles. Easily worth $5.

Free steam weekend on Dreamkiller.  Is this the first free weekend with a single player game?  Seems kinda silly since people can play through the game and beat it while it's free ;)

I'm guessing the game sucks though and isn't even worth the time if free.  I'm studying for finals this weekend so not gonna try.  Otherwise I'd at least give it a shot.

Machinarium and Samorost 2 bundle is $10 now (comes with soundtracks).  I might jump on this.  Good price for Machinarium alone.

my problem is that for some reason I got incredibly cheap.  Anything more than $5 and I feel like it's hard to justify.  I remember wanting to buy Call of Juarez 2 a while back and now that it's $15, it seems too expensive when I'm able to get all these good games from $2 to $5.

ironically enough, I'm buying and playing my purchases on a 311 right now!

I just bought three more games: Sid Meier's Pirates ($6.67), Samorost2 ($2.49) and The Witcher: Enhanced Edition ($13.39)

I think I'm done except for upcoming daily deals.

Alien Shooter is pretty awesome. It's an isometric shooter where you explore various levels of a research facility and mow down hordes of alien scum in order to get more money to upgrade your weapons and armor or buy more ammunition.

Yeah, I used it for my last system wipe. The backup/restore wizard is simple and it's 50 times faster than redownloading it. I dunno if I'd backup just to "backup," though, as Steam stores all your keys.

You know, instead of offering the same games from the sale but for even cheaper so they piss off their entire fanbase.

KB has a better tutorial, but AP is literally better in every way possible. Common allies get new skills, there's more spells, more quests, more variety. It's an upgrade in every way- You have nothing to gain by playing KB first, except an appreciation or the improvements in AP. Given that they're both long, difficult games, you'll probably only wanna play one. Make it AP
