If I was as good as Brett Favre, why not? Obviously teams don't give a shit if they still sign him to a contract. Nearly every person in the NFL is a dirtbag drama team, so don't pretend Favre is unique in that regard.

the guy's been in the league for like 20 years and has never missed a single game...is he not allowed to take a break from practice or training camp?? come on, he hasn't missed a single game. He had a monster season playing with one of the best offenses in the game. You could have plugged Marc Bulger in there and had the same result. Favre has been mediocre for awhile, what a surprise his stats went up when he played with a talented team! Gasp!

Yeah, because when I said any competent NFL started could be plugged in, I obviously meant an unproven youngster that has never added up to NFL starter material and a guy who got a concussion by running into a wall during a touchdown celebration when he played for the Redskins like fifteen years ago.

i just don't know how anyone can argue that Favre didn't make the team infinitely better...33 tds, 7 ints. That's an unbelievable season... I'm sorry but you can't just stick any competent starter in there and have that happen. I hope he comes back next year and wins it all..he gets way too much slack and seems like a humble guy

As for his statistics, again, any competent starter could have seen the same boost and then some, because y'know, they'd be actually good. Favre has been mediocre for years, so if you think he magically got better behind a great offensive line, throwing to talented receivers and handing off to the second-best running back in the game because of some magical Christ-like talent, you should stop watching football.
