Green bay front office didn't want him...they kinda pushed him out in a subtle manner and wanted to put rodgers in there, just didn't say it publicly because the fans would've been in an uproar. The guy gave em like 15 years, putting everything out on the field and they turn on him in a blink of an eye...why should he show them respect? He is a nice guy..just listen to any interviews with him, he's just a normal country guy that loves playing football. I hope he comes back and wins the superbowl next year to shove it up you butt

I don't understand this point. They wouldn't be in the NFC Championship if an unproven quarterback that has not shown the mettle to be a legitimate NFL starter was playing under center?

Uh, duh.

But imagine if they had an actual starter that wasn't a 68-year-old moron. The Vikings got Favre to the NFC Championship, and he repaid them with a dumb interception. Classic Favre. :lol

Still, one play from the sb. He made a dumbass decision but at the same time, the Saints shredded the Vikings' special teams and defense to ultimately win the game. Blame can be spread around.

Not even Sanchize was making dumbass throes like that during the post season. For shame.

To be fair to Favre, he had to deal with Mangina being his head coach.

I don't care if his coach was Rich Kotite, I standby my original statement. Mark Sanchez even had Rex Ryan as a head coach, who didn't even think his team could make the playoffs! Maybe he thought Favre was still the quarterback.

Glen Shinobi conveniently forgets that Favre was pretty bad his last few years in Green Bay. I think except near the second half of his last year with the Packers, he was actually downright awful.

But glossing over important details and selective memory is a common trait of Glen Shinobi. I can't blame him though, he's just out there having fun. Slingin' and a slangin'.

Yeah, considering he only threw four passes as a Falcon, two of them for interceptions, there's a fifty-fifty shot of that being accurate.

2005 was the only awful year, the year when he had 29 interceptions. He wasn't great in 2006 or 2008, but he wasn't awful either. Although he was below average in 2006 as well.

Statistically, he was one of the worst starting QB's in 2006.

He made me eat crow this year, but he's only had two good seasons in the last five.

A 72 QB rating is pretty bad, but not abysmal, and he still put up 3800 yards (on a ton of attempts though). But yeah, he was pretty bad that year. Guess I didn't remember him being as bad as all that. I'm not a huge Favre fan anyway.

A 72 QB rating is abysmal in this era. He finished 25th, behind Smith, Leinart, and Grossman.

Lions :bow

Nice signings this week. Vanden Bosch is just the type of pro vet we need on the DL, Corey Williams should fit well in the 4-3, and Nate Burleson should take pressure/coverage off Calvin Johnson.

I seem to remember getting laughed at for suggesting the Lions could get Suh at #2 but it seems more likely now, with the Rams confirming they need a QB. Only problem is that Suh is ripping shit up at the combine while the QBs won't do much of anything until their pro days. Damn, adding Suh or McCoy plus the Vanden Bosch/Williams signings make the DL much better. And in the second round we can either continue building the defense or get an OL

I'm pretty excited.

I don't really blame them, they didn't really cut any of the good defensive players as far as I can tell.  I think that Shanahan and Allen kinda convinced Danny Boy that they're gonna suck no matter what next year.
