I know. I had it on 360 so I'm going to have to do everything again. I got 1000/1000 on 360 version before they added the new trophies and I want my platinum when I get it on ps3!

It'd be great if someone could help me go through vet and hardest mode, so it can be fast and clean.

I'm just gonna roll with the vanilla RE5 and cherry pick DLC. Not before getting SF4, tho. And Crackdown. I played the Mirror's Edge demo and for some reason it made me want to play Crackdown so bad. I need to 100% that game.

Can someone tell me if I can play RE5 Gold online with someone who has vanilla RE5?

I'll be glad to do the rotten egg trade trick with you, too.  Really don't feel like grinding to get the weapons maxed out.  I did it just so I could get Sheva's bow then quit.

Can someone tell me if I can play RE5 Gold online with someone who has vanilla RE5?

Of course; the new content is all separate.

I want to egg dupe until I have about 1 million bucks. iirc, it takes about 1 million to 1.5 million in order to buy everything.

Yeah, I've got a rotten egg in my inventory.  Waiting to do the trick with someone.

A netbook?

Not sure about that, but here's the minimum req:

Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows XP
Processor: AMD Athlon64 X2/Intel Pentium D series
Memory: 1 GB
Hard Drive: 8 GB Free
Video Memory: 256 MB (ATI Radeon HD 2400/NVIDIA GeForce 6800)
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
DirectX: 9.0c
Keyboard and Mouse
DVD Rom Drive

I don't see why not, looking at those specs.

Minimum requirements?  That just means that the game will technically load up on your PC, but don't expect it to get anywhere near playable unless you hit the recommended specs.

it's like they put in fixed camera angles to remind us how bad the game controls with them.

Lost in Nightmares is decent.  Kinda not enough zombies.

It's not meant to be filled with enemies, although you will get more of them on Veteran/Professional.  Desperate Escape, on the other hand, is enemy OVERLOAD.

they could have thrown one in here or there.   a light peppering of zombies.

but DE sounds pretty sweet...downloading it now, I'll play it tonight.

I don't know if I should download it now or wait until I have nothing else to play to check it out.  Maybe they'll be kind and have a DLC bundle!

That's why I'm waiting. I have so many games to play. I'd rather wait for a DLC bundle.

Because I hate DLC crap. And if I would've bought it today, I wouldn't have played it anyway.

I've bought Magic Orbz DLC a few days ago, though.  :-\

Well, I dont buy DLC either. But this isnt just some unlockable key held back stuff (could be - who knows). This is easily worth a quick $10 ($5 each - minus the doofy costume packs).

it's called RE5:Gold Edition and it's $40.  Hey, $30 for the game, then $10 for about $20 worth of DLC.

It's the real deal this this time around.  They reuse enemies in desperate escape, but the locations are all 100% new.

This DLC is amazing. I am reminded that

a) this game looks amazing

b) this game feels amazing

c) this game controls amazing

d) the online is rock solid tight

How I missed you RE5

Also the new enemy is awesome. A bullet sponge though, for sure.

Desperate Escape is a very good satisfying dlc, was a bit hard on Veteran but good nonetheless.

it is very similar to Ada mission on RE4 just on COOP.

Does anyone want to do LIN and DE with me? My stoner friend sucks dick at this DLC and keeps dying at the fishhook guys. I'm getting impatient and want to 200 (100 x 2) this shit ASAP so I can send it back to GameFly.

Ok, we finally had a good night and finished both DLCs

LIN is soooooooooooooo good. Can you imagine a remake of RE1 in these graphics? Or RE2? My god that would be amazing. The sewer part is the weakest bit.

DE is soooooooooooooo FRUSTRATING. Holy shit. nothing but endless enemies, coming and coming and coming. Then the final bit where you have to survive for 5 minu- no wait the timer resets for another 2 minutes. This will probably be the most frustrating thing on Professional.

 :lol

I played LiN through professional with both friends and strangers, but no way am I gonna even try DE with anyone but competent people I know.  The thing is, I wasn't even trying to go for achievements most of the time, so I would just be like "just run past these guys" or "we can just run around in a loop at this point" at the end of DE, but the idiot I was playing with would charge head-on into a crowd of enemies and get himself killed.  "I THINK IMMA BE OK ON DA ROOF!!!!" and then five seconds later, dead.   ::)
