Just watched the BB finale  :o. Though I hate cliffhangers  :'(.

spoiler (click to show/hide)
It seemed like Jesse moved his gun a bit to the right before shooting, so I assume it was just a warning shot, and the fact that it was meant to look like he shot him and left it as a cliffhanger means he probably didn't - but who knows, BB wouldn't be above turning that on it's head and open with S4 Jesse looking over Gale's body.

I liked Walt accepting the fact that he has it in him to kill if pushed and the situation requires it, and him wanting to protect Jesse who's resisted taking that moral leap.

The more I think back on this season, the less I think it's been plot weak - everything that was shown was shown because it impacted the characters, not to create a plot that'll be enjoyed by someone wiki'ing it to get the gist of the show.

omfg @ Breaking Bad

edit: watching first ep of S5, The Shield

wtf Forrest Whittaker  :o
hot latina cop  :drool

golden afro dude is straight out of Meteor Man :rofl

Whittaker makes it one of the best tv seasons OF ALL-TIME

Just finished S5 last night.

Maybe it was just me, but the more he kinda went off the rails, the droopier his droopy eye became. I appreciated that somehow.

On Breaking Bad...
spoiler (click to show/hide)
I thought Walt was giving him up as well; it seemed to make sense given how quickly Walt broke down. And honestly I was hoping he would give him up.

Sounds like Gus wants to cut his losses. Gale no doubt knew what was going to happen, but that doesn't justify him getting killed first. Also it's kind of ridiculous that Gale and Walt are the only two chemists a multi-million dollar drug kingpin has in his pocket. With Gus possibly getting tied up in a war with another cartel, perhaps Walt will have the distraction needed to last longer.

about the last episode of breaking bad.

spoiler (click to show/hide)
I feel that this should have been the second to last episode of the season.  I mean, you don't just end the season in the middle of a standoff and let the audience stew on it for 9 months.  Especially when you have Jesse doing something so out of character.

The new Boondocks was also good.  A lot better than last week's episode which sucked balls.

he didn't wanna do it--he was crying--but he did it to help walt; if he hadn't done that, walt would've died. he's obviously helping a friend out and he owed him one--i don't see what's so out of character about that.

yeah obviously, but you want to see his reaction after he does it and how Gus deals with him and Walt.

I can understand why Jesse did it but I don't see why they would end it at that scene.

I have it ready to go, hope it delivers. tbh gov't intelligence plots and how DEEP IN THE RABBIT HOLE DO YOU WANT TO GO? really don't interest me, but I'm pretty ready to give amc a chance, plus I really liked Leckie in The Pacific and think he'll do great carrying a show. *fingers crossed*

On Breaking Bad again...I agree with Am Nintenho

I agree that could have been better served as a cliff hanger that lead into the season finale, instead of being the season finale cliff hanger.

I think it served a nice Season finale cliffhanger since next season we'll be jumping into how everything will play out. Seeing the reaction to this situation from Gus and ending it on some other note probably would have deflated the finale.

Something that's kinda confusing about the Lem situation in S5..
spoiler (click to show/hide)
Why doesn't he just tell Kavanaugh the truth about the heroin: that he used it to get closer to a lead on Angie's body. I'd imagine IAD wouldn't approve of that either, but it would probably be a better situation than having "intent to distribute heroin" dangling over your head.
[close]

edit: holy shit @ Trophy. Kavanaugh's freakout at the end was priceless  :lol
spoiler (click to show/hide)
I feel like a distinguished mentally-challenged fellow for thinking Vic actually killed that guy. Once they found out Lem was wired, Vic had Ronnie check for bugs in the club house. It would be ridiculous if IAD could plant a bug in such an open, obvious place after that, but for whatever reason I wasn't thinking and bought it.

FUCK @ the finale of The Shield S5

spoiler (click to show/hide)
That was the most wrenching tv scene I've ever seen. I had spoiled it for myself years ago but forgot the details: I thought Shane died to the grenade. As the scene progressed I realized I had it wrong, yet it was still powerful. Holy fuck. Lem was one of the most likable characters on the show. Refused to give up his friends - his family. Too bad GAF's search function is down, I'd love to see the S5 thread just to see reactions. But I don't want to google anything for fear of spoilers. I have no idea what S6 or S7 are about and I want to keep it like that.

When Kavanaugh attacked Vic at the scene of the crime, I wanted Vic to beat the shit out of him so bad.
[close]

The Wire S3, S5 spoilers beware:

spoiler (click to show/hide)
When Stringer died I was upset, but in a "fuck, dammit" way. Probably the most wrenching scene for me was Dukie becoming a user at the end of S5. Yet neither tied my stomach up like Lem's death. God dammit.

Dunno how I feel about Kavanaugh's downfall. It was tense but rather anti-climatic with him outing himself early. He had completely gone off the deep end to get Vic, so him snapping back to his senses (and throwing away his career) seemed odd. I wouldn't have minded seeing his cat and mouse game go on longer, with Wagenbach getting closer to the truth.

ep6 of S6 The Shield  :o
spoiler (click to show/hide)
Shane and Vic's confrontation wasn't as intense as I would have expected but damn, still good. Would Vic have taken Lem out if he was truly threatening to bring the strike team down? That's an interesting question, and honestly I think he would have. One of the most amazing accomplishments of the show has been how many times I forget or simply overlook the fact that Vic killed another police officer, and is truly a selfish pos when it comes to his own self interests.

For BlueTsunami: it reminds me of something that happens in Game of Thrones, to introduce a character. Yet in later books he becomes so likable you almost forget the disgusting thing he did within the first 100 pages of GoT.

Horrible set up hit on Shane. Jamming his gun was a bad idea, and is probably what confirmed in his mind that he was set up. Damn, I wonder what his response is gonna be. Also, I wonder if the Armenians could find out Shane bailed on them, and seek retribution...

thoughts on ep10 so far

Should I feel bad for wanting to see Shane and his wive get mowed down? The scene with them in the pool really felt like a set up for something, and I was almost on the edge of my seat waiting to see something bad happen. Vic is a pos, and here I am hoping her kills a pregnant woman. smh

Vic getting Ronnie to stay on the chase for a couple more days felt like the beginning of the end for both of them.

edit: this season is amazing

Started watching Clone Wars on BRD. Having a serialized CG series at a 2.4:1 aspect ratio in HD is a cool way to watch a show.
