That's the point. It's not supposed to taste JUST like egg nog. It's supposed to taste like egg nog flavored alcohol. And it's DELICIOUS. What's the point of drinking alcohol without a buzz? If they didn't have the sting you wouldn't even get tipsy unless you drank a shit ton. By mixing the hard drink with the liqueur, you end up with a more delicious, but still alcoholic drink. Best of both worlds!

I don't drink to get drunk anymore... and if I'm in a pissy mood, I will not drink at all. Since that usually makes things worse (and will cause me to binge drink). So right now, its mostly wine and the occasional pint.

I tried looking at my car to see if there is proper coolant and oil levels (it is) When starting my car, it made a knocking sound. Looks like it isn't just a drained battery :'(

I guess I'll have to get my car fixed again. In the spring time, I'll unload it, and never buy an American car again, well, from an American brand name that is. Probably a mid 2000's Honda Civic. I got enough of dem dere savings to buy it outright but I might put 50% down.

Nope. I don't use the radio because I stupidly blew out the bass a while back while rocking out to Phil Collins' Greatest Hits (not sure if that was the specific title but that is what it is). No lights were on or around that time either. Doesn't explain the knocking engine either.

Although I'd much rather hope for an (inexpensive) battery change out than some expensive engine issue.

I tried getting into wine but couldn't. If I were to be an alcoholfag over anything, I'd be a beerfag. A good friend of mine used to go on vacations to Colorado and load up on what they had for microbreweries there. A few friends and I would put a bunch of money in and get a cornucopia of various Colorado microbrewery beers. I'm sure there are better places to get beer than Colorado but most of what the microbreweries had to offer there was fucking amazing. Another friend who lived in the Twin Cities would load up on Belgian and German beer, which was great as well.

That and I like very cheap vodka, the kind that takes paint off a car. Probably because I drank so much of it when I was underage and we'd all buy the cheapest shit possible.

Colorado is a great place for microbrews. Washington and Oregon are also awesome beer lands.

I'm having a really hard time reading my casebooks. I think I'll just read outlines and take my chances. I didn't actually read a single case that was on my property law final last year, but still managed a B (C+ class average).

Thinking of Bocsius's desire to leave where he works, I did find another job opportunity inside the company I work at. I'd closer to family, friends, and more opportunity to move up in the company. The best part is that I get paid for overtime. No more 60 hour weeks unless I'm given time and a half for 20 of them. No pay cuts either. I had my boss put in a good word. I'm orchestrating for his boss (my boss's boss) to put in another word as well. My biggest fear is if I keep getting more and more people to put in those good words, then I overplay my interest in the job. Then again, it is all about who you know, not what you know and the more recommendations I get from middle and upper management, the better off I might be (?)

It almost makes up for my shitty car situation. Almost.

I had a good day and night. Saw stanford get their asses kicked and then saw some pooper get his ass literally kicked at a UFC ppv sausage-fest party. Then we then we decided to break out a bong and watch Super Trooper Unrated(!). I was packing it so I made it fairly loosely packed like normal but my friend told me that that was 3 bowls worth so I'm not as high as I would like to be. Anyways, I just got home and took a really satisfying shit just 5 minutes ago. Very nice time.

About PD's opinion on alcohol/drugs, it totally makes sense. I like to get fucked up but I only do drugs if I'm going to do something that I probably couldn't enjoy otherwise. I mean, I consider getting high and watching Super Troopers a great memory but that is entirely because I was impairing my brain. Personally, I like the idea of enjoying things that I shouldn't be enjoying. I actually never drink though because that's both a food and drug and it's a bad idea to mix two vices.

Weed is pretty overrated on the internets. Kind of like getting laid - it is good but not as good as people hype it to be.

The biggest downside of toking and drinking is that it is pretty expensive. Unless you want to drink paint thinner disguised as alcohol and smoke brick pack Mexican garbage, you're going to have to fork over a decent amount of money to get drunk or high. During a summer, I smoked decent weed daily. Not multiple times a day, just once after working. I had a hard time explaining to my parents where all the money went when I had to ask them to spot me a couple hundred. At that moment, I calculated that I smoked up almost two grand over the course of three months. After thinking of the many, many better uses I could have spent that money, I went from a daily smoker to once in a great while (like 2-3 times a month at most) Once I started looking into internships (drug testing), I dropped it entirely and never really looked back.

I've cut back on the drinking. I was seriously into lifting for a while and the estrogenic sides to alcohol made me cut down. I thought about being a winefag but I don't care for reds. Whites, I can tolerate better but even then, it isn't my bag. I could be a beerfag but there isn't much of a beer scene in my area. With my new job transfer, I will be in a more populous area, where there might be a small beer community.

Mid-term madness is over, just one more tomorrow for Japanese grammar (:O). Had a pretty awesome / cheap / relatively relaxed weekend, starting with pool + vodka in Shibuya on Friday night followed by ¥150 beers, after which I was sufficiently blitzed. Yesterday I went to Yokohama to meet up with a family friend from back home who grew up there. She gave me and a friend a bitchin' tour of the area (especially Chinatown)-- Yokohama seems like a more relaxed, less claustrophobic Tokyo, and it was definitely nice to get out, even if I was only 30 minutes away from home. I'll be back in a couple weeks for clothes and Christmas shopping. Today I unintentionally slept in until 2:30, attempted to study to no avail, and managed to get absolutely nothing done at all until around 9. I couldn't even tell you what I did today. I tried to study, couldn't focus for shit, and I still can't focus for shit. Maybe I'm just super tired or something. Anyway, it is now 1:56 am and I've somehow managed to learn a bunch of Japanese verbs. The mid-term is at 9:15 tomorrow morning.

Earlier today I also made the mistake of introducing my girlfriend to Zelda: TP Wii as a decoy so I could study, which she's been playing since 7. Awesome. Probably no way I'll ever finish Uncharted 2 now.
