I kind of want HOI3, but I know there's almost no way I'd play it right now. May or may not get.  :lol

My mind tells me I've bought enough through this sale. I will soldier on regardless.

HoI3 isn't bad anymore like it was at release, but it's still got a few open wounds, so to speak.

EU3 Complete  is the Paradox game you want to get if you are interesting in playing a Paradox game. Three years and three expansion packs have made that game something that rivals the all-time strategy gaming greats.

Rest of today's stuff is totally meh, I agree. Just an FYI, Zombie Driver isn't even worth the $2.50.

Good to know. I could have sworn I already had a copy of vanilla EU3 around here somewhere, but I'm not seeing it. Looks like it's $15 until the end of the sale. I'll hold out hope for a daily deal on EU3 Complete.

It's really, really repetitive. The giant bomb first look nailed it-it's basically ramming zombies and doing the same thing over and over again. There are better time-wasters on the PC , IMO.

That being said, it does make me think that someone could have some real success making a "throwback" indie GTA-style game for the PC. The controls and perspective of Zombie Driver don't feel old or cranky at all.

Zombie Driver would be a lot more fun with they actually gave you a decent amount of weapons, but instead you get hardly any and have to just run over zombies for the most part.

Fuck, I just discovered that Titan Quest is part of the THQ pack, which includes all the CoH games I want. Should have bought the pack instead. Oh well, maybe it'll go on sale. Can you gift stuff after you buy it? If so, some EB'er is welcome to Titan Quest.

Good morning, Sho Nuff

I predict that I will still buy some cheap ass games despite not even owning a gaming PC. Because

At Christmastime it's hard,
but when you're having fun
There's a world outside your window,
and it's a world of dread and fear
Where the only water flowing
is the bitter sting of tears
And the Christmas bells that ring there
are the clanging chimes of doom
Well tonight thank God it's them
instead of you

Both are really good. Braid is more of a puzzle game than Trine, although both are thechnically puzzle games. If you are interested in games as art, Braid is probably the most cited example, but its a great game in its own right. I would get both

Prey is one of the few games that's not Valve's that you can register on Steam.

Prey was originally exclusive to some other short-lived digital distribution service that I can't even remember the name of, and when they went belly-up, 2K signed a deal with Valve to allow people that bought Prey from the other service to download the game from the Steam. Instead of trying to figure out some way that only DD customers could register their copies on Steam, they just let you register any CD-Key.

Hell yeah! It's worth $2.50 just for that alone. I love the way that whole scene plays out. First the wolves go crazy, then the TV goes to the Emergency Broadcast channel, power dies, Juke Box comes on, and the aliens arrive.
