Anyway, back to the games:

I think the Kirby game is going to surprise a lot of people. My people tell me that it's going to incorporate a lot of the elements from Mario Galaxy, SMBWii, all within the framework of traditional Kirby gameplay. It'll definitely give platformers a run for their money, including (dare I say it?) Mario Galaxy 2.

Metroid Other M will be tricky. I really see Nintendo's efforts be handicapped by the shortcomings of TN. I'd much rather prefer Nintendo handle the game themselves, but I suppose they've got bigger titles to concoct.

Super Monkey Ball is my party game sleeper hit of 2010. I see this game being second behind SMB1 with a better assortment of party games than SMB2. I'll be stunned if it isn't a worldwide million seller.

Project Needlemouse will be huge. You heard it here first. It will end up being the best selling third party platformer this generation.

Epic Mickey will disappoint, I fear. I really haven't seen anything to suggest that it will bring anything new to the genre and the days of successful Disney platformers are behind us, IMO.

i could never get into the monster hunter games since a) i hate crafting if it isn't convenient; and b) eventually it requires me to play with other people, which requires me to make a schedule

playing with people is hard, since i typically game in 15 to 30 minute bursts and hate committing to large swathes of time! i whine because the games have always seemed potentially awesome to me, they just don't work with my life or gaming behaviors :'(

I'll be shocked if Metroid: Other M even comes out.  I imagine it went down something like this:

Ninty: Hey, Team Ninja!  So what we want to do is show a little demo reel of Samus jumping around and shooting and shit and tell people you guys are working on a Metroid game for us.

TN: So you want us to make a Metroid game for you?

Ninty: Heavens no!  That costs money.  Our fanbase doesn't need any actual games, just the abstract idea that games are coming.  So if anyone asks, just tell them you're working on Metroid for us, okay?  We'll quietly kill it later.

TN: Um, ok?

Ninty: So what are you working on?

TN: Um, Metroid?

Ninty: There's a good boy.  *gentle tap of the face, tosses a 5 yen piece at Team Ninja*

Yeah, I guess they'd never shitcan a game from one of their bigger franchises.  /looks at the corpses of StarFox 2, That Kirby Game That's Been Coming For Years But Really It's Coming This Time, and Metroid Dread.

Starfox 2 eventually became SF64, the Kirby game I'll give you, and we've never actually seen any footage of Metroid Dread.

Sadness? You actually posted Sadness?

You have any official confirmation from the developers that this game will not be released? If not, then I think we should refrain from labeling it as Vaporware. It will be out in 2010, my sources assure me of this.

I had my doubts that he was a joke character, but I guess it's confirmed now.

Waggle worked fine for SMB:BB single player, admittedly it wasn't well executed for the party games, though. And at this stage of the game, I think most competent developers have included the option for traditional control scheme in their control-focused Wii titles.

This game will be a hit, though. Don't sleep on it.

Vaporware, a couple of decent titles, and a bunch of crap.  Seems like a Wii release list to me!

And no Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom UAS?  For shame.  The Capcom Wii stuff will be worth it.  Maybe No More Heroes 2 and the two Tecmo titles as well.

It's true.  If you don't have a good 45-minutes to an hour (or seventeen straight hours :( ) it's hard to get anything good out of the game.  the games are really excellent though.

I know it'll never have the same amount of good games as Ps1 or Ps2, though.
Nintendo broke the tradition of leading consoles having the best games in each gen.

Check my GAF threads, man. They date back to 04. If you think I've been acting out these past 5 years for the entertainment of video gamers, then you're the one who's the joke. You guys have been so wrapped up in your little world here that it probably seems too surreal to see someone with *shock* totally different tastes in games!
