What ways especially?
Two really big things that have been nagging at me lately:
-Less emphasis on potentially game-changing spells. Psi storm, stasis, irradiate, plague, dark swarm, defense matrix, lockdown, and disruption web vs. a nerfed psi storm, point defense drone, fungal growth (which is actually awesome, to be fair), neural parasite, force field (good, encourages exploitation of positioning), and then bland stat buffs like frenzy and guardian shield. Also note that the only SC:BW spell on that list that deals flat damage with no other effect is psi storm, whereas in SC2 Terran only really have one spell that ISN'T in point defense drone. I would argue that the only two spells that can change the momentum of the game with only a few casts are fungal growth and force field.
-Less emphasis on skill-intensive micro. This is the one I really used to disagree with, but when you get into the late game it's sorta true. No more incredible shuttle/reaver micro that can decide the game because the reaver was removed in favor of the colossus, a unit that can only be microed to the extent that you can abuse cliffs. No more dodging lurker spines. No more tight mutalisk micro taking out an entire base of SCVs or picking off half a marine army because they removed unit stacking and moving shots. No more 1-2 vultures stomping multiple control groups of lings because they removed moving shots (tell me how your hellion micro goes past 10 min when the Zerg has ling speed and enough lings to surround). Oh yeah, no more moving shots.

People that whine about unit compositions in certain match-ups are missing the point, because if beta has proved anything it is that strategies are influenced by trends just as much as they are by the mechanics of the game, but I feel like these complaints are legitimate. Not only does it make the game more boring to play, it makes it more boring to watch.
That said, SC2's multiplayer is still (imo) second to no other RTS than BW, so it's not like it's a shitty game or anything
