Kind of out of nowhere but you can't even buy Mass Effect 3 in digital form because it's not on Steam and Origin took it out of their system and replaced it with "MASS EFFECT TRILOGY" which isn't out. I kind of wanted to pick it up during a BF sale since I haven't played it.

I think they took it off the store during BF/CM. Mass Effect Trilogy was the only thing that came up under a search in the store for "mass effect"

MILES PROWER OF SHENMUE DOJO HAS FINALLY FINISHED HIS SHENMUE II CHARACTER PROFILES. As you know Shenmue has a profile and background story for every character, even npc's. In Shenmue 1, all of this, all 300 characters, were documented in the passport. Shenmue II, which boasts 700 characters, didn't have a passport. The profiles were published in Japanese guides, however, but never translated in English. After almost a decade of work, Miles has finished translating the profiles for Shenmue II's characters into the English language.

I started playing the first one since I'm a big fan of Dawn of War. It's a really solid traditional real-time strategy game, but unfortunately I'm stuck at an early mission. The opposing forces keep getting reinforcements from unexpected sections of the map so I'll have to come up with something more effective than my standard tactics.

Only the first, but as someone who's not a big fan of the genre, I thought it was pretty good. I think they're generally regarded as some of the best real-time strategy games ever made.

I have both games, but I need to play more Horizon before I reach a conclusion. The latest Horizon DLC pack has the McLaren F1, I should get the season pass, but I have no money at the moment.

I went on the Playstation Store to grab that Nino demo and saw that Mass Effect 1 is on PS3 for $15.

I'm more curious than interested about it, since I already own the PC version. Does anyone know if they include the fixed Mako controls from the PC version? or any improvements at all? It's such an odd thing to do at this late, like when Crysis 1 came to Xbox Games on Demand.

I read that ME2 on PS3 always supported ME1 save imports, but all that content was locked out because there wasn't an ME1 to import saves from.

What I played was really good, the only thing I heard that was an issue was encounter rate in the Japanese version, which is supposedly fixed for the US one.

I've been on a large point and click kick recently and I have to wonder: Why aren't a lot of LucasArts games on any digital distribution platform? I'd prefer to buy Grim Fandango on Steam or GoG over pirating it.

I'm guessing it is a manner of IP disputes or something equally stupid.

I think it's just because LucasArts doesn't care about those games anymore. They released a 4-pack of adventure games on Steam a few years ago (the two Indy games, Loom, and The Dig) but evidently the sales didn't live up to whatever lofty goal they were anticipating, because they never released anymore. Now that Disney owns them, who knows what's gonna happen.

Lucasarts was going to have a huge push for adventure games. They remade MI 1 and 2 and it was rumored they were working on Day of the Tentacle. However, that was under a specific president who had a appreciation for the classics. When he got the boot, his successor pretty much ended THAT and they went back to being The Star Wars Game Company.

Man I didn't read that right at all at CAG. I thought you got a giftcard for $50 per TRU's usual deal. Well that is gonna make for some nice added gifts under the xmas tree. The Missus has been on my ass to get Family Guy for some damn reason, I wanted to wait till it hit sub $30. But for $35 along with Epic Mickey 2 I'm totally down.

the fuck? Forza Horizon most definitely does not feel like 60fps. It's very clearly 30fps and suffers because of it. When I was alternating between it and GT5 the difference in FPS was quite jarring.
