Ah, sorry: I should have added that before I found that statement from Sony, I immediately ran downstairs, powered on my PS3, and attempted to log in to both my accounts, all the way through PlayStation Store login. I was able to log in with my normal email and password, so I was completely baffled what the notification signified. I used the web portal to change my password, and that went through as well. Then I looked up support for PSN and found that last paragraph.

Seriously, not my favorite way to wake up on Monday.

-Each ship changes its attacks when you change "mode"

-Ships are designed as hardcore, 1950s style retro mechas
-Game is designed around destructible objects and dodging bullets - the core elements of an enjoyable STG - rather than obstacles and topography. This gives it a refreshing feeling.
-It has been carefully developed for over 1 year.

I suppose, but then that would just look weird and the directional controls would need to be flipped 90 degrees too (I haven't played many horizontal games with this option).

iconoclast, I think it'll come down to if it's 3d or 2d. Wish one of the bullet points was "is still 2d" ^^; Until Cave gets their 3d to Gradius V levels, any 3d shmup by them will be a bit weak.

I doubt you need to know much Japanese for an arcade card battle game.

I'm getting close to canceling my Gamefly subscription.

Once they claimed I sent in Kung Fu Panda instead of Bayonetta (wtf?) and now it has been two weeks since I turned in FFXIII without them acknowledging it (and sending me another game). E-mails sent to them have been ignored so far.

It's a remake that's completely rewritten with new sidestories added by the original writer Matsuno.
The gameplay is a complete rehaul and apparently will be so different that it feels like an entirely new game. Gameplay design is being done by Matsuno who designed the original.

It will be interesting. The original TO is basically perfect. Perfect gameplay, perfect maps, perfect story.

Replay the same games over and over is stretching it. Not all of us replay TO on an annual basis. Me, I haven't played TO in almost ten years. Why wouldn't I want to rebuy it and play it? I love the game.

On the other hand, people who keep mass amounts of games for collector value, but don't bother replaying their favorites and keep their favorite's bottled up in their mind for nostalgia...I don't get THAT. If it was a favorite, you would have no problem.
